Inconspicuous Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Looks great, MacK! The tiling and foliage look great, but maybe some more benches or plants to fill up the blank area would be awesome. I really love the fountain and the submerged coin technique you've used. A few comments on the criticism side: Why did you choose black for the tree/bush ground? I can see plants in tan or brown tanbark but... tar? Also, I like the statue but calling it bronze may be a stretch. Looks like a great hang out for the citizens of MACK! -Inky Quote

Inconspicuous Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Well it was either black or well... nothing. I perfer to think of it as black rocks of some sort (hense the black 1by1's) to represent death and then trees are to represent life . I'm no expert on statues I thought that the big bronze ones turned black after a while am I thinking iron statues ? I do like the symbolism. It adds a new layer of perspective to the MOC. It terms of the statue- the bronze Statue of Liberty turned- green. Maybe you can update it when the Toy Story soldiers come out. Quote
BlueBard Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Really nice, I specially like your design for the statue and all the symbolisms you tried to represent Quote
Milan Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Really nice, I specially like your design for the statue and all the symbolisms you tried to represent Me, too. This MOC is interesting for me because it is unique, with great sense of symbolism. I would suggest to make the pavement spread to the right direction also. It would make statue even more visually important, then it would be standing in more center of the pavements... Benches can go on both sides of the pavement. Quote
