When making a city, all the small details makes the difference between a good city, and a great city. One of those small details was the common birds you always see in the city, the ones "painting" small parts of your car and house white ( ); the pigeon.

It was hard to build, as a bird this size obviously would be. All the pieces are interlocking, no loose parts etc.

So, now for the story:

Dennimator was on a business trip for his company. On the way home he bought some beer (the bill is on the company, of course  ).

However when he got to his car, what he saw shocked him so much he dropped his beer. :oh:

He couldn´t believe his eyes. Pigeons!!

(Credit goes to Ralph_S for the car)

As Dennimator felt he had to get rid of the pigeon problem, he did. In this case he tried to 'get rid' of it using bubble gum... :skull:

So, please tell me what you think about it. :classic: If you want any close-up pics of something, just let me know.

In the second last pic that pigeon actually really looks perfect. Obviously, it all depends on the angle! Nice little MOC, and the story to go along with it works really nicely ;]

Thanks guys. :sweet:

Yeah, the angle really matters. That 2nd last pic is my favourite, too.

I´ve ordered 20 of those beak parts on BL, so when they arrive the citizens in LEGOville finally have something to shout at.

Excellent. Story is funny!

I had trouble figuring out what was in the first picture, until I saw it is the pigeon!

I agree that it looks best on the roof of the car!

Very nice! How did you make the beak?

I used this piece as the beak. With some struggling with turning it around in the headlight brick, the small clip will get stuck at the bottom of the stud hole. I´ll take a pic and post it here as soon as I can.

I'm myself a great fan of Lego pigeons so I must say this an interisting design, with a really nice story! If you're looking better designs I suggest you to take a look at Darkspawn's ones here.

Sorry for double-posting, but BlueBard, do you know what the piece he uses as the legs on the pigeon is?

I think that's just a yellow 1x1 plate rotated 45 degrees

Such designs (and my bikes  ) are one of the reasons why I really have to go on BL and look for a store that sells lots of minifig hands in different colours! I'm starting to feel cruel for having to dismembmer my minifigs...

Thanks, but then it wouldn´t be able to stand... Maybe it´s a tile..?
