I've been busy perfecting these creations for a few months - and they're in a near-ready state, so here's some shots. All the parts (save for the crate load for the van, 2 minifig heads, cheese slopes and the girls hair piece) were available from the late 80's; but when available they have been replaced with modern equivelent parts so they don't have scratches, etc.

The first, as usual, is a 'group shot':

First, some detial on the van.

The van was built about 1 & a 1/2 years ago. It has been constantly modified almost every month. It's last modifications were to replace the wheels with those from the last Daily Mirror give-away. It features opening side and ends doors.

The sports car is probably the car with the most non-80's parts; 4 cheese slopes, minifig head and body. The front mudgaurd will be replaced with one the same as at the back of the car.

This image shows it dis-assembled into it's main parts; as you can see, it's a very simple construction.

The other car is probably the most unusual. The distinctive curved roof piece is from the Fabuland range from "Mr Crows Pick-up". It has had the gap inbetween the minifig and the and of the roof piece filled in to give it a "semi-van" look. The camera's cruel, isn't it? the poor girls got several marks on her head...

and in it's dis-assembled state. Simples ;)

They look very good. I like the van the most.

My only suggestion to this moc is to replace one gray plate above the roof and one gray plate above the back door with the same plate s in yellow color, so the line of gray and the line of yellow goes straight, if you get it?

EDIT: I misread it. Now I see you meant replace the 1x4 plate in grey with one in yellow. I'll see what I can do...

I understand. But I built it like that becuase it means that the doors open closer to minifig level.

The doors will stay on their place, I meant changing 1x4 plate above back doors with yellow 1x4 plate. The same for the roof plate.

But it is just a suggestion! :classic:

And here's the modified van (you can thank Milan for causing me to do this..):

The mods included:

> adding a roof bulge to represent the van having some sort of equipment - such as an extractor fan.

> replacing the '1 x 4 plate in grey' above the rear doors for one in yellow

> replacing the '2 x 4 plate in grey' 2 plates below the rear doors with one in yellow to continue the yellow.

> replacing the plates in grey above the 'cab' with ones in yellow

As you can see, the van is now a bar of yellow sandwiched between two layers of grey - and I'll admit it looks a lot better!
