merman Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 (edited) Really silly and stupid question, but here in Europe the Café Corner is completely sold out. There are several US websites, including Lego.com, Amazon.com, Target.com and toysrus.com who still sell the set for $139.99 I know I don't know a lot of people here but would someone be willing to buy me one. Of course I will transfer the money by Paypal first. Shipment in the US is for free, and I will cover for all expenses for sending it to Europe... I hope someone is willing to help me. I will be in the US this May but I am afraid the set will be sold out by then. If anyone knows where to find this set in London I'd be happy too since I'll go there this month... I can be contacted at: hellomrzebra at hotmail dot com I live in Amsterdam, so if you happen to be in Amsterdam soon that would also be an option I will reward you of course, which we can discuss by e-mail Edited November 6, 2009 by merman

Dennimator Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Customs will cost you ... :-( Not if you send as "gift"...
AFOL SF Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I'll volunteer, too... Take note, if you buy the Cafe Corner on Black Friday (Nov 27th) at the Lego store, you can get a minimum of 10% off (maybe more) towards your purchase.
Erik_C Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Not if you send as "gift"... Customs in Belgium is a hell for it. The max value of the gift can only be 45 euros.. Anyway, it was a lot easier in the past, but the recent years.......
Zzz Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Or wait til may to pick it up/ let it sent to you when you are in the US? Customs should be easily 30€, even if sent as a gift.
merman Posted November 6, 2009 Author Posted November 6, 2009 Thanks all so much for replying, especially considering the fact I don't know any of you... it is a rather unusal request I realize... I can be trusted, my name on Bricklink is hellomrzebra check it out for feedback The best way is to send it as a gift and the maximum for that is $150 as far as I knows... some people even suggested putting in a birthday card ;) I have to think about my options... but will get back to it ASAP (I am also a bit broke, but feel an urge since the set is no longer being produced) I will be in San Fransisco from May 13-16 2010 and New York City from May 16-25 2010 and in London from November 17-20 2009 It is just rediculous Lego is offering it on their website for US customers but not willing to sell it to European buyers... I even e-mailed them about it..... Anyone have any idea how much shipment (it is about 8-9 lbs) to Europe will be?
BlueDragonZ Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 I'm from Canada and can help you order it as well. But it cost $199.99 CAD here in Canada. So i think your best bet is probably order from the US as its almost $1 CAD = $1 USD despite the fact lego charges us here like 1.5X the price.

If you're passing by San Francisco, I can drive you to the Lego store at Hillsdale Mall so you can buy it yourself.
