Now for some closer shots of my servo MOC. Fuel Pumps. Water or air anyone ? Drinks outside, ice blocks inside. What do you think ? Quote

That drink vending machine is from the Airport set. I might make a few up and put on the back of a delivery truck, now that's an idea, a soft drink company in legoland. Back to the servo's, I don't know if anyone has noticed the colours (thick green, thin red, then white on top) on my MOC are the same as the 2010 tanker. Quote
Big Cam Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 I'm not sure if you wanted us to compare yours to the original or as a group, because yours alone looks naked compared tot eh original 7993 set, but your addition to the 7993 set is awesome, it flows so nicely and add's more to the original set. I think as singles the 7993 is better but together they are way better than any retial set. I love the glass signs. Quote

As the driveway in my MOC doesn't have the big roof, that allows trucks to fuel up as well as cars. And there will be a tyre dealership going on a road plate along side of the MOC servo, just to make it look less naked. Anyway, thank you for your comments. Quote

With that said, if you would have just shown me your version I would have had nothing but positive things to say. It does look just like you described. It helps to know what you were trying to achieve. I kind of looked at it like this " Which is better" Now that I know the basis to the build, I can dig it. Quote

If I were you, I'd take the original to pieces as well and create a new, bigger and more elaborate Service Station. That way you'd avoid the obvious segmentation that can be seen now (two separated yet closely-situated sets of gas pumps; a washing station in between buildings...) and can also formulate the separate areas and services better. Sorry, TheOtters you misunderstood what I have posted, they are seperate service stations, 7993 is my sons for his city and the MOC is the one I''m having for a country town. But I have taken your comments on board plus looked at a Shell servo this morning and have today redesigned parts of my MOC including a at least one new thing that nobody I think has done before. An ice box for selling bulk ice to campers, etc.,. Now for some more changes. A redesigned driveway pumps/air/water arrangement. And instead of oils, etc., by the windows a small rack in the driveway itself (still common in country South Australia) I have inclluded some plants as well by the driveway. Please I would like some more comments if this is an improvement or not on the first MOC. Edited November 6, 2009 by lightningtiger Quote
