Artahn Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 (edited) Yeah, it is awesome. Alright, I realize that people hate red axles, and I can see why, but I find them a necessity for the Lego Company, even if it only saves them a few dollars... Anyways, I tried to think of something that really bugged me. What I came up with: Chatspeak. So, I combined the two, and came up with this monster. I've got to be honest, I got this idea a few days earlier, and I'm SOOOOOO glad I didn't post it earlier... Yeah, here's the only other picture... So, there isn't much else I can photograph, but if you think of something, tell me and I'll take a pic. ...And please don't ask for instructions... Brickthing Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 (edited) Don't just copy'n'paste it, lazy-guy. The idea of this MOC is amazing, and I admire the patience you must have had to assemble it. To improve it, you could add some relevant bells and whistles to the sides, to make the enitre MOC part of the MOC, rather than the outside holding the MOC mosaic in the middle. As I've already asked, would you mind if I try out this technique myself? I can see boundlessly awesome mosiac potential coming from it. Never-mind, you answered it. Thanks! It only took an hour and a half or so... my usual stuff takes a few days to make. Again, just make sure to give credit where credit is due... And yes, I am lazy; Nom-Noms was a self-MOC. God Iron Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Alright, I realize that people hate red axles, and I can see why, but I find them a necessity for the Lego Company, even if it only saves them a few dollars... Actually its cost them more to make. They do it to apprently make the construction process easier. I blame the focus groups as always. Funny MOC, We need a gun that fires these and attack BZP. Quote

Woah, I don't think anyone could even say shutup that many times like that in real life, and I don't think anyone could even read it that many times. The gun thing's irrelevant though, because I don't think the rules allow it. Yeah, you're right. I'm just a little anxious.... Edited November 4, 2009 by Artahn Quote
The Alchemyst Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Lol Bionicle is aimed at the lower end of the Age "guidelines" on the boxes, so that's why they use Res Axles. >.> Anyway, I personally think this was a really neat MOC, the idea and execution were both pretty ingenious. I do think you could have used Blue Pins somewhere more though. Maybe all around the border somehow. [-TA-] Quote

Dutch Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 That must have taken some time to build Artahn. I really enjoy the tech part of this moc, great work. Quote

[-TA-] Yeah, I've been messing around with what can be done with this technique, and I'll see if I can post some results. Although I may save them for a PM to Arpy... (just kidding, I'm over it... sorta) Quote
Chef Hatchet Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 I never thought the red pins were all that bad. It's like, a centimeter of a set, just ignore it, people. Pretty creative MOC, kind of looks 8-bit. Nice. Quote

They make the sets ugly, which kids probably don't like. Quote
