Forresto Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 I've always been a huge Star Trek fan anduntil now I have had some difficulty in uploading photos. For your viewing entertainment I present to you, the viewer, a scene. A scene in whoch the Federation is in a power struggle with a race of beings known as the Klingons. Conflicts were often skirmishes between two ships or maybe even several ships. Klingon Bird of Prey Constitution -Class Federation starship Here's a link to the brickshelf gallery with more pictures Link. Plese enjoy, thank you for looking, and comments are most appreciated. Fumoffu Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Very nice. I'm a Star Trek fan too ... not just from the latest movie. Pretty cool Klingon bird of prey. Do u have a Romulan version? Your gallery is not public yet ... I'll like to see more photos of these. Quote
Milan Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Ships are very nice! Star Trek fan here, too! Quote
Yreodred Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 I like your Ships too. Nice use of the dishes, is this the USS Enterprise from the latest movie? (because of the position of the neck on the Engineering section) Do you have more ships or Stations? (a D7 Cruiser would fit perfectly into your scene) btw. ST fan here too Quote
Forresto Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 @Fumoffu -Sorry about the gallery not being open yet but it should be soon. I di make a romulan war bird from the original series but unfortunantly my pet cat found his way where I stored it. @Milan -Thank you very much. I always wondered how many Star Trek fans were here mainly because theres so few Star Trek MOCs @Yreodred -I did make a D-7 cruiser and I thought it was pretty good but like my warbird, it had a little skirmishe with my cat. . . . guess who won This Enterprise when I made it, I had inspiration from the new Star Trek movie to start making minis. It's supposed to be from the original series but has like the neck several elements of the new one. It was also because I could'nt find a better way of making the neck thick enough without putting a cheese slope in the last stud. Anyways thank you very much! Live Long and Prosper Quote
Legostein Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Hello there! Those two models are really excellent, and the scene you set up is a typical from the classic series or classic movies. The Enterprise is particularly well done. The saucer dish is nicely round by clever use of cruved slopes, and the large cylinder as main body is the perfect piece. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Holodoc Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Very well done! Mind if I copy the NCC 1701? Very nice. I'm a Star Trek fan too ... not just from the latest movie. For my part I´d say: I´m (obviously) a Star Trek fan despite the latest movie... Your gallery is not public yet ... I'll like to see more photos of these. Absolutely seconded! Quote
Tereglith Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Great job on these, I particularly like the Enterprise. I tried my hand on an enterprise at a smaller scale, and the way that you managed to do the neck and the nacelle supports is very good, better than what I figured out. I may be confused, but I was under the impression that Birds of Prey were considerably smaller than Constitution Class ships... I could be wrong though, it's been a while since I watched an episode or movie with them. I admire how you managed to make the Bird of Prey look menacing, as well. Mine turned out looking basically adorable, like a mutant baby duck. Quote
Dutch Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 These moc's make me wish Lego had a star trek line. Great job with Constitution -Class Federation starship. "I giving her all she's got sir" You can tell I used to be a fan. Quote
Rufus Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Nicely done! From the face-to-face pose of the two ships, I take it this is based on the standoff between the Enterprise and Commander Kruge's BoP in STIII Search for Spock. My only criticism - the round nacelles and straight pylons suggest the first Enterprise, rather than the movie version, but hey! @Tereglith: Yes the birds of prey are much smaller (crew of 20 compared to 400 in constitution-class starships) but in the movie they look similar in size.
