Minifig Lecturer Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 BRICKLYN-The Empire Police are hunting an armed male minifig after a brazen hold-up at the Bricklyn Post Office shortly before closing time today. The gunfig is believed to have escaped with a considerable amount of cash and the company have offered a £5,000 reward for information leading to the apprehension of the fugitive.... The CCTV images of the raid clearly shown a hairy minifig demanding cash be put in his suitcase whilst fearful customers watched on. No minifigs were hurt in the robbery. Empire Police chief Biggus Piggus reckoned that the robber's hair was not real. "No minifig with any ounce of self-respect would have a hairstyle like that", he told reporters Quote
Big Cam Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 I do really like your close up shots to clearly depict the scene but I kind of wish I could see more. All the scared people, etc. With that said, I think it's really clever and I DO really like the angle in which you took the shot for the fig holding up the bank. Wouldn't the cops outside notice him with that atrocious hair Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 I like it, the black and white angel is a cool idea. However I have never heard of a Post Office being robbed, is that a problem in the UK? Quote

Can be at times - several people have died through post office robberies...but then you occasionally get those who try to rob one, then realise they can't, then can't exit becuase they can't work out which way the door goes! Milan Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 I have heard of few Post offices robberies here, too. Nice Moc, but you should post more pictures. That first -camera- picture is great. I like that very much! Quote

Odd, in the USA if their are any issues with the Post Office it's normally from the workers going insane, but that hasn't happened in years. Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted October 24, 2009 Author Posted October 24, 2009 Well in IE and many other EU countries Post Offices are also involved in banking and social welfare and therefore can hold large quantities of cash! Hope that sheds some light on Why one would rob it. They aren't after stamps :) Quote
