der seb Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 (edited) Hi inspired by Srezkall and Torgugick I began to work on my own skyscrapers. So what would be the best way to start with the biggest ever built? After months of planing I finally finished my virtual Burj Dubai HIGH RESOLUTION PICTURE This set will be updated periodically with more pics of the virtual building and also with the recent state of the real one. The finished model will be 2m tall. Hope you like it At this place I would like to greet Srezkall, who also builds the Burj Dubai Sebastian Edited October 13, 2009 by der seb Quote

Legostein Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 (edited) Oh my! That's amazing! And the biggest Mini I have ever seen. Do you know how many pieces it has? You will need a tremendous amount of 1x1 slopes. But these allow you to perfectly get the shape. Cheers, ~ Chris Edited October 13, 2009 by Legostein Quote
missouri_bb63 Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 (edited) That is going to be great! It would be great to see pictures as you progress through the build! I have seen another Lego version of the Burj here. It is absolutely massive. Did you make yours to the same scale? Edited October 13, 2009 by missouri_bb63 Quote

Hi Chris yes, here are a few facts for the most pieces 900 gray 1x1 slopes 7000 trans-clear 1x1 slopes (there are 160.000 on sale on BL, so no problem here...) 100 trans-clear 1x1 tiles 1200 trans-clear 1x2 tiles 20 trans-clear jumper plates this makes quite the half of all bricks. the other half are gray plates and some technic parts for the inner construction That is going to be great! Thanks for the link, I totally forgot this MOC. I assume my modell will be a bit higher as what he calls his "6-foot high mini version" and yes, I will post updates in my progress, along with more virtuall pictures.
