Sammael Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 I'm sure there are a lot of people here who own all the modern castle sets, but I'm wondering if someone's actually tried to combine them all into one (presumably) huge castle? The sets I've had in mind are: 7094 King's Castle Siege (as a base) 7029 Skeleton Ship Attack 7037 Tower Raid 7079 Drawbridge Defense As a bonus, I'm wondering if it would be possible to fit 10193 Medieval Market Village inside the walls of this castle, to recreate a true medieval "town." TheMaster Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 I think on Classic-castle.com someone combined Tower raid, castle siege, Skeleton ship attack and the dwarfs mine together, however i cannot find it at the moment. Quote
Svelte Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Batbrick had a nice layout where he showed many of the 07-08 sets together, although they weren't strictly combined. Maybe he can share a pic? Quote
Francis Marion Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 At one point, I had those sets connected (No 7079, actually) and I'll look to see if I have any pictures... Quote
Princess Storm Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 (edited) Sounds interesting - I'm not sure that MMV could work with it though, as the scale is different. I also think combining drawbridge defence with castle seige might be hard, as the ground floor of dd is elevated 1 storey above that of the castle.... though it would make for a much grander main entrance if it were possible. Bring back the days of a truly modular castle! Edited October 25, 2009 by Princess Storm Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I know that Doctor Sinister combined 7029 and 7037 with the castle a while back: (pic is a link to gallery) As for the MMV, I imagine it would work better as a small village on the outskirts of a castle rather than actually inside it. Castles were generally made for nobles and soldiers. Quote
