Ideas for a Pirate Display

So I got an invite to display my LEGO display at the state capital over the holidays this year. I have to fill four display cases. I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do with two of them (Space and Town), but I was wondering, how do I fill up a 4' x 8' display case with Pirates? I already have the port, 4 ships and I was trying to think is that enough or is it too sparse? I was thinking about adding a jungle island or something like that.

Jungle island/Polynesian tribal area sounds good. A raft and a shark too, perhaps?

Could two of the ships be fighting, using the ice-cream or skeleton arm cannon smoke techniques?

I was thinking of maybe dino island, because I don't have that many islanders. Yeah! Maybe this raft washes up on the shore and the brave pirates are battling dinos.

Add to shopping list: dinos.

Cotton from pill bottles works just as good for smoke.

p.s. or maybe the jungle island is a film set for the next episode of the A-Team.

Hmm... I might need to make a dock for those massive BB rebuilds I have. They completely dwarf my fortress area. Good idea.

Or, you might look at the "South American" Indy and Adventurers sets for jungle background...

You could have troops in the field, arty dug in. Some formations. A small town will eat up space too.
