ptcruisen82 Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 First off, I am new to the Pirates set of Legos. I am sad to see that only after a year they are going away again, but hopefully as reading through some of the other posts they will be back shortly with more sets. I was excited to see that an Imperial Flagship will be made before they go. Now there can be a true battle at sea. (With new sets anyhow!) My thought was, when the Pirate sets do come back (just like in Castle), it would be great to see a couple different groups to defend the high seas. I liked it years ago when I had just a couple Pirate sets with the Islanders. It was always fun to make the Islanders swap sides, good and evil, as the Imperials and the Pirates would hide treasure on their islands, you never knew just who side they were on! I think they should bring back an Islanders group. I was also thinking, even with the original older sets of the "Blue Coats", which I don't have because I just started collecting them again. It would GREAT to see a new set of the "Royal Navy," maybe blue, or another color, with a different emblem on their flag. I like to think of the Imperials as more of a Spanish influence. How about an British influence! Not only that, but they can either team up to defend the pirates, or fight each other for conquest! How great, good vs. good, good vs. evil, good vs. evil vs. good. Great way to have a three way battle between ships! I hope with the re-release in a few years, they might consider Islanders again, and something like a "Royal Navy!" I hope with the re-releases they include flagships as great as the new one (Imperial Flagship) for all sets! As we all know, they traveled in fleets... not always alone! It would be great to see more ships, as it is Pirates and all! Quote
Joey Lock Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Well the Redcoats are classed as the Royal Navy. That is why you should Join the Redcoats! I personally guarantee you a rank within the Royal Navy and supplys. My uniform is similar to Nelsons uniform, as you can see in this image were I stoe Martins girlfriend: Quote
RampantDingo Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 As soon as they came out, I knew that redcoats were for me. I have eight men and four extra cannon ready to hop on board the flagship as soon as it comes around. Plus, redcoats have better ale. Quote

Nikola Bathory Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I prefer the blue coats. But the red coats are cool too. Quote
Vladimir Leonov Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Red Coats all the way. (Although I wish I had some bluecoats... for them to KILL) Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 A friendly reminder not to turn this into a Red VS Blue topic. Discuss the subject given in a nice way, or I'll have to close it down. Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 We have a RED vs. Blue topic where you can pick on the other side to your hearts content! I love the various factions. I only have a handful of the spanish but I have lots of the others. I agree, I think the more factions the better in the Pirates line. It makes the possibilities for fun, adventure and mischeif almost unlimited. I imagine if we get POTC sets we will see some factions. They had islanders and british at least in the second one and I'd almost bet that we'll see some spanish in the new movies. I'll just hate seeing those fleshy heads on Lego pirates if it comes to pass. Quote
RampantDingo Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I'll just hate seeing those fleshy heads on Lego pirates if it comes to pass. Not to mention all those lovely pirate torsos with fleshy chests. Quote
