What's your favorite sci-fi theme? (Official or not)? Oh, and could an admin maybe post a poll here, with the main science fiction themes . . . . I'd be grateful.

2000th topic, by the way! Woohoo :)

Hm. I'm torn between Spyrius, M-tron, Exo Force, and SP3. Spyrius and M-tron were some great classic themes with some great designs. SP3 on the other hand is pretty neat is as well, especially the minifigs, and it seems it will get even better in the next wave. Some of the vehicle designs are great, but some others are a bit flawed, plus there's the lack of buildings. Exo Force was pretty cool in its own way.

I'll have to decide when I see more pics from SP3 2010.

Btw, what do you mean by "official or not"? And how do you see which number topic this is? :look:

My favorite is Pre-Classic-Space.

As the topic starter said above, there are plenty of themes that have great designs but i miss ships with an usable interior, everything seems to concentrate on small interceptor like vessels, well thats just not my thing.

For the new SP3 line, i must say that the new Aliens are really cool  , maybe i will buy one or two sets.

Hello!

The question is not completely clear to me, whether you mean a space theme by TLC, or any SciFi series in general.

As for a space theme by TLC, my vote goes for M-Tron, as they were the first theme with the fancy new trans-neon pieces. :classic:

Regarding SciFi in general, I like besides the obvious choices like Star Wars also the smaller themes like Space Odyssey, Firefly etc.

Maybe a poll if allowed and if possible would have been easier to analyse the results of your survey. :classic:

Cheers,

~ Christopher

Blacktron 2, SP2, and Ice Planet were always my favorites - however, seeing how I own the most Ice Planet sets out of those three, I guess they are my favorite. Something about that trans-orange/blue/white/black colour scheme really appealed to me. Ice Station Odyssey may not have been the biggest or most well designed space base, but it will always have a special place in my heart. Deep Freeze Defender is my favorite space ship, and the smaller sets in the theme mostly weren't bad either.

Blacktron II, Space Police II, Ice Planet 2002, Spyrius, Unitron and Exploriens. Maybe M-Tron as well. I think Exploriens is my favourite, it is about discovering and looks the closest to Classic Space from the above themes. Spyrius is second, all sets look good at least.

Unitron has only one set that was released worldwide. It's the only great set of that theme IMHO.

Blackron and blacktron II.

In standard light blacktron looks better.

But just put on a UV blacklight and watch blacktron II glow! Really, it rocks.

I like the old blacktron too because they're such bad-megablocks looking villains. Blacktron II rules because in my imagination, they're not that bad at all. They're more like a group, an organisation that has some ideals and fights for their right to exist. In my imagination space police are very corrupt and that's why I like them as well. XD

After blacktron (II) and space police comes M-tron, Classic Space (the atmosphere!) and Ice Planet.
