I'd like to pay a visit to the storage area and search through what is there.

It seems reasonable to believe that some clue may be held within those things that hadn't yet been unpacked or utilized in the house.

Anyone care to go with me? I do think there is some safety in numbers.

Yes I would like to come as well. Maybe tonight we could all set up traps in our rooms so everyone knows when someone leaves there room and if anyone enters another.

I wish to travel with Thomas to the storage room.

I wish to keep the photo safe in my pocket.

I will take you up on that offer sir, you seem like the sort who will get something done around here. Let us see what we can find amongst the packaged goods...

The group head off towards the storage area, and take a quick look around. They find tons of boxes, and, opening them, are not shocked to see some more objects that would be found in a house. Another chair, a box of silverware, a few candle holders, a desk, two large crates of books, etc.

Thomas then goes up the stairs and tries the door at the top. It is locked.

I'l like to take a large knife and a serving fork and hide them in my jacket. I'd then like to rummage through the desk, discretely.

And just what are you going to do with those, Mr. Baker? :hmpf_bad: Certainly nothing violent I hope.

I would like to look over the desk to see if there's any hidden switches on it that could reveal a secret compartment.

Thomas hums a tune and tries to hid a knife and fork under his suit while everyone looks on.

Athranhart starts to examine the desk and, while he does not find anything in the desk inself, while he is leaning down he notices a piece of paper behind the crate where the desk was packed up. He picks it up to read outloud.

Lord Gregor,

Hello my old friend. I feel that I have news that I need to share with you. You are one of my oldest and closest friends, and I trust you, and would would not tell this to anyone else, but I have a problem. I have invited a number of people to my house for dinner, just a few old friends from the army and college days. But something is spooking me. It may be the new house, or the loneliness of night, I never did marry a lovely girl like you, oh how I envy your time with Lucy, but I'm starting to hear things. Floor boards creeking. Angry voices. It scares me. I hope that you will come a little early, if it fits into your schedule, and please ease my old heart's fear! I know it sounds silly, but friends should help friends!

Thank you,

Faisser

The note looks slightly dusty, like it had been dropped and left at the spot it was at for a while.

Thanks Athranhart for sharing it with us. It seems our host is far more mysterious than we thought. Now we know who this girl is in the photo in my pocket.

I wish to search the washrooms and spa for anything out of place. Also I would like to check if he has an electricity metre that tells us how much he used recently.

Hmm... listen to this. "oh how I envy your time with Lucy, but I'm starting to hear things."

It sounds to me like Faisser did it, but that's not possible. Also, I must note that this letter was not sent, as it is still in this desk..... It is possible Faisser died before he could send the letter. Coinsodense that he died before mailing this? Maybe....maybe not. Perhaps it has some sort of secret message.. :sceptic:

I'm back. That letter is a bit unusual, especially considering it comes from a dead man. I suppose we know for sure now that Gregor and Lucy were married, and that whoever killed Gregor was trying to avenge Lucy somehow.

That said, the questions I had for Florence simply raised a few for Athranhat. Come with me, will you? It won't take long.

Perhaps, or maybe this explains why our dear Lord Faisser isn't here. :sadnew:

What if this killer it trying to take out each one of us and decided to murder the owner of the house first?

I'd like to take a knife like Baker's as well, although I have no reason to hide it. I just like being prepared.

As to that letter you found, Athranhart - That is really foreboding, and almost makes me think - maybe this Lord Faisser isn't dead after all...

Now that I think back, come on, a haunted manor? Who would ever think that a big dusty old house would be haunted?

Ghosts aren't real, simply speculation, and most likely just the mind messing with you. I think ol' Faisser finally cracked, poor man.

I ain't 'fraid of no ghost!

I really doubt that there's a ghost who killed Lord Gregor, after all, a ghost wouldn't have to walk in or stab someone.

Also, a thought just struck me - my plane has enough surplus fuel for some air time, would it be possible for me to take a quick flight around the estate, to get a look at the roof and the surrounding area - maybe there's a skylight that could let someone into the second floor?

Amelia takes a kinfe.

Amelia is reminded first that the servant quarters are on the first floor, the group is locked out of the second floor. They agree, however, that it would be for the best if she flew around and maybe even got some help ( no one thought of that yet?). They group head for the large front door, and arriving, see that it is locked, and far to heavy to break down. The house has no windows on the first floor.

Returns with Athranhat.

Ok, I've talked with Athranhat and Florance privately. Athranhat claims that Florance served his tea, Florance claims someone else did. Athranhat also said his tea tasted strange and afterward felt sick. One of them is lying. I believe its Florance, simply because she seems suspicious, has had incidents with poison in the past, and served everyone else's tea. A few other people have claimed of faintness or sickness after drinking that tea.

I would like to search Florance's room and look around for some poison or sleeping pills and the like.

You fool, I felt perfectly fine after I drank that tea. It didn't aid in my sleep, nor did it make me feel sick.

You, sir, must wait till I tell you the facts before you call me suspicious. :hmpf_bad: You didn't give me time to respond about how the tea tasted until after you had your lips flapping out these lies.

I agree, my tea was definitely drugged and now I'm being told odd things by Athranhart who is defending Florence a little too vigorously. I think we should watch them both closely.
