steele Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Can't find this listed anywhere---I know Lego stores always have the pick-a-brick wall, and many exclusive/rare sets, but I can't find if they sell Power Functions stuff---motors, battery boxes, etc. Are those online-only, or do the stores have them too? If it makes a difference, I'm specifically planning on visiting the one at the Mall of America. Quote
CP5670 Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 They have the 8293 pack available, but I didn't see the individual parts for sale at least at the Lego stores I've been to. Which is a pity, as the S@H shipping prices on those parts get needlessly jacked up due to TLG's policies. They determine shipping costs based on the price of what you buy instead of its volume or weight. Quote
steele Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 (edited) Exactly--I want to buy motors, etc. for several models and I was hoping I could get "free shipping" by buying them in person. Edited September 25, 2009 by steele Quote
ACCURATEin Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Currently the store I work at does not have any of the power functions for sale in the store. Quote
Holodoc Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Exactly--I want to buy motors, etc. for several models and I was hoping I could get "free shipping" by buying them in person. That´s the normal way how the stores do it: If they don´t have any of the sets requested (and available on shop@home) the order it and have it shipped to you FOR FREE. You can even come back later with the bill and have your coupon book stamped. Quote

I do remember a store employee telling me this when I tried to buy a set they were out of, but I thought it only applied to items they normally carry but are out of stock. Quote
Cwetqo Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 LEGO store in Munich has XL and M motors, battery boxes, LED lights, IR recivers and remote controls (old, vithout speed regulation). The prices are the same as on S@H, but I fear that it was just temporrary offering, because PF parts were just in one of the bins with "goodies" and not on the shelf like other stuff. Also, they were just in plastic bags, no boxes or other packing. It's a good way to get XL motor for which you would otherwise have to get bulldozer or dino, or maybe some more lights or other parts. I think that each LEGO store should have these parts available at all time. Quote
