Derfel Cadarn Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 70% Complete now, but still a lot to do! Sorry for the poor quality pic, but it was taken quickly in the basement. Hopefully wont take much longer till completion. Quote
Fluyt Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 That looks great so far, that beach is so amazing . Can't wait to see more/bigger pics when it's finished. I have to build a harbour some day, but I can't seem to get around to actually doing it . Quote
Paul cantu Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 This already is an amazing port. I really like the style of your buildings they all are unique and have a realistic look. The beach is also spectacular. Is that a new ship I see? I have two questions for you. 1: Are you other ports still assembled or do you take them apart to build the new ones? 2: How much money did you spend on the round plates used on the roads? Quote
Admiral M Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Wow! It's come along really well! I can't wait to see the finished project! Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Good that you decided to take a 'quick' picture, it might not be very fine quality, but still nice to see. It looks very promising (and realistic)and I'm also very curious of what you ship will look like when it's finished. Looking good so far Quote
Lego_Warlord_8 Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Fantastic! Superb beach, very realistic. That mansion-looking building on the far right looks really nice, wouldn't mind living in there. ~LW 8~ Quote
Rick Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 Looks great (and parts-intensive ). Looking forward to more pictures. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 I agree this looks quite good so far! Some more pictures would be nice though. You're teasing us with that picture! Keep it up! I can't wait to see the final result! Quote
Captain Genaro Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 The beach is very well done as is the whole port. Only 70% done what else can there be. Quote
Derfel Cadarn Posted September 20, 2009 Author Posted September 20, 2009 Thanks for the positive comments. I still need to build the cliffs on the left side, build the warning beacon and finish the ship. Should be all finished next week. I still have Steeple Brink Cove and Chapel Rock assembled because the idea is that they can all join together to create a coastline. Each model uses between £80 and £90 worth of 1x1 round plates, and it drives me crazy putting them all in the model! Quote

I think the result of that effort is rather nice! Speaking of the fact combining several models to one single coastline... That is something I absolutely don't want to miss! Quote
maydayartist Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 Yes very nice!! Your creations have everthing needed. The house on top of it in the rear section looks very good with the oriel window with different angle. Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Looking fantastic, as always, I can't wait to see more pictures! Quote
