Privateer Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 The other day I finally got around to snapping a picture of the finished group. Here is my completed Fellowship: A couple of the pieces are from Brickforge and there's an LA sword in there. There are still other characters I need to take pictures of and others that need to be finished. Hopefully posting this will motivate me to finish them. Here is the gallery for my other Lord of the Rings characters when public: Gallery Comments gladly welcome Quote
Athos Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Nice use of the torsos on the left hobbits... I'm not sure about the other two though. Or Boromir wearing an old lady's dress... Steve Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 They look rather well, good job But I think aragorn need an other head, he doesn't have such a beard, I think a normal face with stubbles is better. For the rest, the weapons are also nice Quote
Big Cam Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Wow, that's incredibly accurate. Great job, they all really look like their real counterpart. I really like the elf's hair. Quote
Hound Knight Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I like these, great job! Oh, did you paint Legolas' hair? Quote
gormadoc Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I think this is a great little...whatever you want to call it but if I were you I would put a brown cone peice on gandalfs staff with a blue crystal in it. Quote
Zorro Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I think this is a great little...whatever you want to call it but if I were you I would put a brown cone peice on gandalfs staff with a blue crystal in it. That's a good idea, and I like them all but I do find Aragorn a bit too blackish. Quote
Hound Knight Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I do find Aragorn a bit too blackish. Good point, maybe try this torso? To look like this: Quote
Sir Dillon Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 A good looking company! My favourites are Legolas and the hobbit left of Frodo (Merry?), but agree with the comments on Aragorn's face and torso. This belongs in the Minifigure Customization Workshop. Quote
Privateer Posted September 22, 2009 Author Posted September 22, 2009 Thanks Dillon for moving this to the appropriate forum; I wasn't quite sure which it would fit better in. Also, thanks for the replies, guys! I hear you about Aragorn. I designed him a long time ago, and now I'm not quite happy with him. After reading your comments, I got some ideas for revised version of him. Anyway, I got some pictures of some more Lord of the Rings characters taken recently, so here's a flickr link to them: Theoden, Faramir, and Ringwraiths. Brickshelf Gallery when modded. Here's Faramir: I might have some more characters in the coming days, too. Quote
Legoking Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 These actually look like the lord of the rings characters. Great job! LegoKing Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 I like the new ones even more than the ones you made before! The decal of faramir is really great, and the Rohan people are also very good. I would like to see the ringwraiths on a black horse or dragon. I think that will look great and make them even more scary Quote
Abaddon127 Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Good work. If you are not adverse to piece modding, trim the handguards off of a pair of cutlasses, and you have Legolas' fighting knives. Quote
Sir Dillon Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Nice part choices on the Rohirrim! The use of Avatar armour is inspired, and the soldier on the right makes a great Gamling. Quote
Bobskink Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 (edited) Relly nice. I want to make a similar gang one day, but purist, anyway, I will steal some of your great idea's Edited September 28, 2009 by Bobskink Quote
