Matt Dawson Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 (edited) Here's some images of mods I've done to my 7639 camper: Some overall shots: Rear: Interior: The modified divider: The bike didn't some with any lights...it has them now! Mod List: > Re-arranged sides to obtain un-mirrored view. equipment vent fitted. > Rear modified to look like a door is present with the window left over from above. TV removed. > Modified underneath to obtain 2 1x2 green tiles - these have been moved to the front wheel arch to cover it up a bit. > Roof modified with aerial. > Divider between front and camping section revised and TV moved here Edited September 14, 2009 by Matt Dawson Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 I think we should rename this thread to "Pimp My Camper". Wouldn't that make a great contest? Your mods are very subtle, thus fitting in with the overall look of the camper well. I esp. like the addition of the green plates/tiles on top. Also, great place for a television - fitting for a great leisure activity while driving to the beach. Nice job Matt! Quote
takuto20 Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 I love, love, MODs and I love everything you did. Thanks for sharing! I plan to take some of your ideas to modify my own camper. I will also get rid of the hideous hinge. Quote
MetroiD Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I think we should rename this thread to "Pimp My Camper". Wouldn't that make a great contest? Long time no see guys :) Seeing as I currently don't have the right selection of bricks, I guess I won't be entering the Train Contest this month. However, Brickster, if you do organise a Camper Contest, I'm definitely in, since I'm working on one right now... Given, its camping capabilities are extremely limited seeing as it's a bit on the small side, but then again it was the original "first" camper that started it all way back when such vehicles were not supposed to cost tens (hundreds, sometimes) of thousands dollars and feature furnishings richer than those you'd have in your own house :) Btw, some very nice subtle changes to an overall great set, Matt! Good job Quote
