Luke McAwesome Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Why thank you. (Thanks, Dragonator. )
Adam Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Isn't this getting a tad... I don't know, heated? Mentally retarded people have feelings, too, you know.
Hinckley Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Isn't this getting a tad... I don't know, heated? Mentally retarded people have feelings, too, you know. Perhaps my dad-to-day IRL harsh sense of humor is coming out too much. Sorry about that. I know better than to use that word online. Apologies to anyone I've offended...but Adam, you're really acting like a retard. It won't happen again.
JimBee Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I'm loving this. Chesty? I'm busty, sister. At least I, you know, have boobs. Where are yours, girlfriend? I was really laughing out loud for a good two minutes at this. I always thought that Dumbledor's torso looked feminine. And if she doesn't scream then she's just a retard? PC aside, this was pretty funny, too.
Hinckley Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Sandy! We just invoked the Cake or Death bit in the staff forum only moments ago! Awesome!
Sandy Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Sandy! We just invoked the Cake or Death bit in the staff forum only moments ago! Awesome! *curtsies* So, which one shall it be, milord? A piece of yummy cake... or perhaps a slice of bitter-sweet death?
Shadows Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Isn't this getting a tad... I don't know, heated? Mentally retarded people have feelings, too, you know. Don't take it so personally unless, well, you know. Adam, you're really acting like a retard. It won't happen again. If only you could be so certain that he wouldn't do it again.
Darth_Legois Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 *curtsies* So, which one shall it be, milord? A piece of yummy cake... or perhaps a slice of bitter-sweet death? Uh... Can I have both? Cake & Death please? Don't take it so personally unless, well, you know. If only you could be so certain that he wouldn't do it again. I haven't understood any of Adams posts so far....
I Scream Clone Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Well were out of cake! Death it is then any volunteers.
Darth_Legois Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Well were out of cake! Death it is then any volunteers. I mean comeone.. How long does it take to make a cake anyway?
Adam Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 What people don't understand is that it's all very witty of ten-year-olds to call each other "retards" on the school ground, but when you're a grown man talking to another person (who is related to; good friends with a mentally retarded person) playing an annoying brat teenager, it's really inappropriate. I'm not mentally retarded, and neither is Ethel (there are tons of bratty teenagers on any channel), but imagine if I had been. That's not to say that I'm not having a lot of fun playing this game; I just think we should keep the mood friendly. If it will help avoid these heated arguments, I'll gladly sacrifice the "bratty."
Ricecracker Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Well were out of cake! I'll take the chicken then.

I have apologized. I advise you not to take it too seriously now. It was clear I was joking. I was not campaigning against the mentally handicapped or suggesting they not be able to get married or anything. After all, some of my best friends are retards I used to teach the handicapped how to swim. I have nothing against them, so perhaps we can just move on?

It was just a follow-up remark; I wasn't suggesting that you were anti-mentally retarded people or anything. Would it be overly annoying if I continued being bratty? (EDIT: Since I didn't make it clear, I'm moving on)
Stash2Sixx Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 It's not being bratty, it's a matter of playing your role. If you were a maid in Medeival Europe and acted like this, I'm sure the church would have dealt with you as swiftly as possible. "Valley Girls" didn't show up until well into the 20th century, and the same goes for Ebonics! Most all of us can agree that it is quite annoying while we are trying to press on as a character, and we see someone who just seems to be doing whatever. If by moving on, you are saying that you will act like a servant to a royal house, than I say thank you.
Adam Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Well, I guess it was interesting while it lasted... It's great that she has ceased mocking black women I'm sorry you think I was. I don't think black women act like brats, and I certainly hope you don't either.

I don't think black women act like brats, and I certainly hope you don't either. I certainly think you're trying to turn something around on me in a desperate attempt to appear politically correct on everything. Don't take things so seriously.
Alice Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Why is it that discussion threads always turn into this crap? I don't think anyone is trying to be racist or prejudice toward the mentally challenged, but I do think it is a bit ridiculous to pick apart everything that an individual says to try to find something to whine and complain about. Stop already and grow up. Would it be better if we called you "special", Adam?
Darth_Legois Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Alice is right. Oh and just wondering why some people feel they need to reply to every post made? *cough*. Just wondering. Because its just a waste of time and space.
Sandy Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Ooh, how exciting that we won't know the alliance of those convicted before the next day! It can surely affect the night actions, too, I figure.

Luke McAwesome Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Hey, Adam was the one who was rebelling, so don't look at me. The first day was really fun, and had it's funny points at times as well. I can't wait for Day 2!
Zepher Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Ooh, how exciting that we won't know the alliance of those convicted before the next day! It can surely affect the night actions, too, I figure. Again, the way we played in the olden days. It's funny to see the new players to be shocked, while for the older members this is just a return to the normal.
Sandy Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Again, the way we played in the olden days. It's funny to see the new players to be shocked, while for the older members this is just a return to the normal. No need to get all elitist with me, now... It's only my second Mafia-game in this board, I can't know everything you "old veterans" have experienced in the distant past (i.e. last year).
Zepher Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 I was just remarking on how fun it is that the Mafia Games have evolved in both techniques used and the players who play them! Trust me, it's fun to watch them change, every time something new is included it's a new challange. It's what keeps them fresh, and sometimes turning back to the old ways is a good way of keeping them fresh as well. I was just saying that it was fun to see who was new to it, and who wasn't
