michaelozzie Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 While im waiting on some parts from bricklink to continue my Napoleonic army I thought i would try out some of the techniques on a knight ive been using with the pipe cleaners as plumes. This is a first experiment so feel free to comment on how you think they look as plumes on the knights helm. Quote
nintha Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 I like it. The decals look great and the pipe cleaner does look good as plumes, but they do look a little big. Quote
Sir Dillon Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Very nice figure Michaelozzie. The pipe cleaners work surprisingly well as that type of over the top display plumes. This actually belongs in the Minifig Customization Workshop, which is where all custom minifigures go regardless of theme. I'll move it there. Quote
Lamanda2 Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Very creative! I don't think in a million years I'd think to use pipe cleaners as minifig plumes. It looks very realistic, but I don't think it looks too realistic for LEGO either, it's like a happy medium. The minifigure as a whole is impressive as well, I'm loving that flag and the armor decal - did you design that yourself? ~Amanda Quote
Dr Kilroy Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Hey! I'm a Pole so I know something about it. Decals are great, I like this flag. Plumes are also nice. Maybe I will use it idea somewhere. Quote
Brickadier General Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I think the pipe-cleaners work beautifully for this figure. I would never have thought to use them before. But really, they are the cherry on the ice cream sundae. Every detail on this fig looks great. In particular, I'm really liking the Breastplate decal. Quote
