I've been wanting to build an American Orient Express train for a number of years now, and never had the pieces I needed. Using the frame and similar design as the Emerald Night passenger car, this is my custom version, the Legoland Express:

Looking very good  I like the used colors and how you created the doors.

I must say i have some questions;

- why only 4 windows where there is room for 5

- what did you do with the right train wheel couple, it looks like they are next to eahother, where the left couple has 1 wheel width between them

Ah, yes. Blue and yellow are indeed a very nice combination when combined together.

Next stop: Stockholm.

Great work TheBrickster.

P.S

Are the wheels placed like that on purpose?

Can the doors be opened?

Yes - by pulling the little yellow knob on the door (that's an old Basic Fig hand in case you were wondering).

I was modelling it after a US. Gran Luxe train that had quite a bit of open white space on the sides. After creating it though, I think another set of windows would look better.

In regard to the wheels, I didn't even notice I had done this. After I had the train complete, I wanted to add the old Legoland brick. Pulling off the wheels, one broke apart, and I thought I had put it together in the same manner. Only now I am realizing I did not (so thanks for noticing- oops!)

Are the wheels placed like that on purpose?

Accident (see above).

(If you just had refrained from photoshopping it... )

Yes, I wanted to add a custom sticker to the yellow 2x2 plate, but didn't get around to it. I may replace the # on the right with an actual printed space brick. The photoshopping was just to give me an idea of how it might look.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm not real happy with it, esp. the doors. Also, I wanted to use dark blue vs. standard blue, but don't have enough to do so. It came out "just okay". :sceptic:

This is an awesome MOC, TheBrickster! :oh:

I really  it!

It is designed very realistic and in the special Lego train cars style! :oh:

The most I like the very well fitting color combination.

Is the interior the same like in the Emerald Night dining car?

Very, very well done!
