BrickMonkeyMOCs Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Can anyone tell me what this is supposed to be? It stores a spare F1 engine cover, but it hardly seems designed for that function. Is it supposed to be a ramp of some sort? Does it represent any real world piece of F1 equipment? Is there any explanation at all for this bizarre looking component? If anyone can post a definitive answer I'll post a review of the new 8185 truck when I get it next week. Quote
5150 Lego Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 I'll be honest. I don't know. Though I follow F1 regularly and i can say I've never seen a contraption such as that in the pit area. But that's not to say it doesn't truly exist. My honest opinion is that TLC just through it in there to take up space. Kind of like having some spare parts. Sad though, cause the Scuderia rig is IMO the one of the best sets TLC has ever made. Quote
adik_sa_lego Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 storing the spare engine cover is the function depicted in the box. but yeah, pits don't usually have a spare engine cover. they usually have spare noses, which would've made more sense if that was the one included. Quote
LEGOMAN132 Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I think its just for looks. Other then that what could it be for? Quote
prateek Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I think the designers were just playing around with pieces and thought this looked cool. Quote
