DD or VCC?

I am going up to the LEGO store in the Palisades Mall this Friday! The problem is, I was hoping to get the Echo Base set- but the store didn't get a delivery of Echo Base's this week, so there won't be ANY at the store on Friday! But, not to fear, I have TWO back-up plans: the Castle Drawbridge Defense or the Indiana Jones Venice Canal Chase set. Now, I have a $40 budget, and I have just enough for one of those 2 sets. The problem IS , I CAN'T DECIDE WHICH ONE TO GET? Lego experts on Eurobricks, help me decide! Which set is the better deal? The Drawbridge Defense or the Venice Canal Chase? Thank you.

P.S. Does anybody know if the prices on both of these sets are reasonable?

I would personally choose the Indy set due to me liking the theme but it's up too you. Do you want any specific minifigs, pats, playability features? That's how I usually choose a set . Here are the reviews to help you out.

They are back ordered until sept 23rd on that set.

To the OP, myself, I'd go for the Indy set. Try this, flip a quarter. It sounds stupid, I know but look at it like this. If you say heads indy & tails drawbridge, and it comes up tails, will you do it. If yes then no problem, if not then you have already made up your mind. Honestly they are both nice and either would be a good choice. Good luck and may the Bricks be with you padawan.

I'm actually going to go with the drawbridge defense on this one but only barely. I own both though and you can't go wrong with either.
