Capt. Kirk Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 I did a lot research on this and I hope I got it all right... ...but I think so. The difference is in the accesoires ( Mauser 98K pouch, Mauser GW/K43 pouch, Erma MP38/40 pouch, M24 Stick grenade, PO8 Hard shell, Field Binoculars (6x30), Anti-gas cape pouch, Heckler & Koch MG34 Gunner belt pouch). The classic one -Infantry collar tab insignia, EM/NCO Breast Eagle, Combat Y-straps, Mauser 98K pouch, EM/NCO Belt & Buckle. Other ones. Quote

Zorro Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Very nice and good looking decals, I wonder how they would look on an actual minifig. Great work, as usual! Quote

Capt. Kirk Posted August 22, 2009 Author Posted August 22, 2009 20 more... This time with the white lining (called 'tresse'). Note: The white lines around the collar were there purely to make the uniform look a bit smarter, and as time progressed and with the need to provide a degree of camouflage (and to cut costs) with a standard field tunic this lining was discontinued. This is the same with the different coloured collars that you see. - In December 1934 the collar changed from the basic fieldgray (Feldgrau) to a fine cloth collar of darker Feldgrau. - In September 1935 this darker Feldgrau collar was replaced by a collar of dark bluish green insignia cloth. - Beginning of 1940 this was again to be replaced by a collar of uniform Feldgrau cloth. (Source: Feldbluse - The German Soldier's Field Tunic 1933-45 by Laurent Huart & Kean-Philippe Borg) But as always there were cases where a soldier managed to retain the darker collar & the tresse through whatever means, which sometimes included privately purchased tunics. The classic one - Infantry collar tab insignia + white lining, EM/NCO Breast Eagle, Combat Y-straps, Mauser 98K pouch, EM/NCO Belt & Buckle. The other ones Quote

Shadows Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Erm....... August 2009? People commented on the work, you ... did nothing. Before worrying about their posting, worry about yours, please. Thanks! Quote
Sisco Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Whoops, it would seem that I'm in trouble... Sorry, Shadows. Anyways, the decals are exquisite. I love the detailing. The grenades stuffed into the belts is just one of the many great details in these decals. If you ever come on here anymore, Capt. Kirk, Great Job. Quote
The Legonater Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 I love these, I'm just afraid I'm not sure how minifig decals work: are they just for show? Do you print them off? If the latter, how? Someone please explain. Quote
Brick Commando Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Great decals Capt. Kirk! If you don't mind me asking though, would there be any ideas for backpack decals? Thanks in advance, Brick Commando Quote
