tomacwhite Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 I quite fancy the look of this model and I noticed on Youtube some people have fully motorised it, so it works like the Bulldozer and also has power functions on the arm itself too (obv. this part is "official"). Just wondered if anyone here has done this and how difficult it was to integrate to motors into the chassis of the model? Quote
Milan Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Well, the best idea is to try to make something unique, your own, but if you ran out of ideas, you can always try to contact people who done it, via youtube, i seen couple of that MODs there. I have motorized few older sets, and it is much more harder than it looks on first glance, so you really need to lower your expectations, especially if this is your first MODing. Generally, motors would never fit exactly where you want them to, movements will be too fast, with no place to gear it down, etc. Plus it is pretty small set for so many function, but it can be done.
