Good and simple idea.

WHy did you only build between the wheels ?

I think it would look even better if you covered the whole top.

Great work! Our member pe668 is a big fan of these, I'll have to throw him a link to this thread. They are built very nicely. How many are in the set?

There was only 2 in the official sets, but someone posted on Eurobricks that the smallest version in reality was 5 cars.

these are different from the set TLC released because the sets modeled intermodular well cars not spine cars. But they both carry containers.

Possible--around Seattle, though, almost all I see are fives and spines--typically also in fives IIRC. Although I see that both NSC and Gunderson have triples in the catalog...

As a matter of fact, I reverse-engineered the existing sections to come up with mid-units shortly after it released. Gimme a little time and I'll screencap the new center-units and complete string in MLCAD, once I finish screenie-ing a boxcar door...
