aawsum Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Good and simple idea. WHy did you only build between the wheels ? I think it would look even better if you covered the whole top. something like this Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Great work! Our member pe668 is a big fan of these, I'll have to throw him a link to this thread. They are built very nicely. How many are in the set? Quote

Captain Zuloo Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 currently there's only two but i might buy some bricks to build some more because they use so few pieces There was only 2 in the official sets, but someone posted on Eurobricks that the smallest version in reality was 5 cars. Quote
PaulF Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 There was only 2 in the official sets, but someone posted on Eurobricks that the smallest version in reality was 5 cars. Three unit well cars are also common in the real world. Quote

But they both carry containers. Quote
Diamondback Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Three unit well cars are also common in the real world. Possible--around Seattle, though, almost all I see are fives and spines--typically also in fives IIRC. Although I see that both NSC and Gunderson have triples in the catalog... As a matter of fact, I reverse-engineered the existing sections to come up with mid-units shortly after it released. Gimme a little time and I'll screencap the new center-units and complete string in MLCAD, once I finish screenie-ing a boxcar door... Quote
