ACCURATEin Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 It's time for some more updates from the City!! My girlfriend has been getting into the hobby and she designed her first house. We decided to break down the yellow beach house and convert it to tan, and she took the project head on while i worked on some other things in the city. Enjoy the pics!.. We'll start off with residential row. Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Segways! Nice job - innovative use of the new fence piece! That house is excellent! Where are the pieces from? Quote
ACCURATEin Posted August 13, 2009 Author Posted August 13, 2009 Next up is the progress being made on the Type One building. This is modeled off an actual building located in Tokyo, Japan. Spoon NSX entering the building. The building has two levels, and a mezzanine on the second level for more storage. Work being done under the hood of the Accord Euro R. Spoon S2000 under the mezzanine which is holding the Fit/Jazz. The building has an elevator in order to get the cars to the second floor and mezzanine. I am on the verge of getting this elevator functional via the power functions motor!! Segways!Nice job - innovative use of the new fence piece! That house is excellent! Where are the pieces from? Thanks! Innovative is one of my favorite words. The tan and green pieces are mostly from bricklink, the windows, roof, and chimney are from the yellow beach house set, and the rest are from pickabrick. Black Spoon S2000 is about to have the motor pulled. Elevator on the bottom level preparing for battle. I tested the motor out later night using the chain from the bulldozer. It works! But the question is will it support the weight of the vehicle. I need to affix a counter weight to compensate for the weight of the elevator and vehicle, and then i think it will work. And in other motorsports news, Ferrari is preparing for their up and coming race! Also made some stickers for the school bus.. The goal is to get this building very wide and very tall. Over time, it will grow, and grow, and GROW!! Just need more trans light blue 1x2x5 bricks. They acquired an alternate source of energy! And lastly, a view from the 4th floor in the Pink Hotel. Quote
Zorbas Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 That is one beautiful city that's forming there ACCURATEin! I really like the way you 've used both official sets and MOCs together. The majority of the buildings are very great! Btw, about the first house -which is very beautiful- that shows up in the first post, is it built on an ancient ruins section? Man, what money can do these days... Keep up the expansion! Quote
aawsum Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Wow, this city makes my fingers itch. I really like how you used the tan for the beach house. And the trans blue building, is it your own brainwave, or inspired by a real building ? All together it makes a very nice diverse scene. Quote
Vaders_son Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Awesome layout mate, love the mix that can be found throughout your city. I even like the pink hotel I'll probably borrow some designs for my upcoming town Keep up the great work you two!! Benny Quote

Man, what money can do these days... Keep up the expansion! Thank you much! haha, no the house isn't built on ancient ruins despite the fact these is a an archway in the front. There is an intersection not far from my residence where there are four archways similar to the one I made out of Lego bricks. Wow, this city makes my fingers itch.I really like how you used the tan for the beach house. And the trans blue building, is it your own brainwave, or inspired by a real building ? All together it makes a very nice diverse scene. I think i know of the itch you're referring to...is it the 'i want to start clicking add to cart on bricklinks' itch? haha I get that itch a lot. The tan worked out well, thank you! The trans blue cylinder is very similar to a building near where I live. I should post a picture of the actual structure to see the similarities. Awesome layout mate, love the mix that can be found throughout your city. I even like the pink hotel I'll probably borrow some designs for my upcoming town Keep up the great work you two!! Benny Thank you Sir! Mixing the different styles is fun. Yes, definitely feel free to borrow any and every design you wish! Quote
