Oky Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Wow, thanks for the news, Bobskink! That's one sweet promo set! I'd get at least ten of those if I ever see them in stores! Hopefully they will be somewhat easily available; I don't want to have to get them through eBay or something. Quote
Matn Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Now I have to investigate if there's such a store nearby as I live just next to the French border! Just to get my hands on that small promo, looks excellent! Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 It looks like the set number is 35070 but i could be wrong. I believe it's 30070, to follow the other co-promo pack numbers. By the way key that number in the building instructions page at Lego Customer Service - no instructions yet though. Like the link I posted, it said ........ Only at the movies June 24 Which means the sets should be starting to be release either just before or just after that date ! I feel that TRU will get the first wave of the new TS3 sets...since they have this link with character descriptions and that pizza delivery truck exclusive ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote

I'm pretty sure they will be out long before that. I feel that TRU will get the first wave of the new TS3 sets...since they have this link with character descriptions and that pizza delivery truck exclusive ! Wait, who said the pizza truck would be a TRU exclusive? It doesn't even have the Limited Edition mark. I'm a conformist!! You do realize how disgusting that sounds, right? Quote

It doesn't even have the Limited Edition mark. You do realize how disgusting that sounds, right? Well, first we are talking about Lego Australia and well,......stocks are sometimes don't flow on that well to different retail chains etc.,. Second, from my buying 'Limited Edition' marked sets have always been at TRU here in Oz, Target/Kmart/BigW/Toyworld/Myer/David Jones exclusives NEVER have 'Limited Edition' on them even the CW Pirate Tank from memory. Third, what do you do with your bricks ? (only joking) I guess I should explain what I mean, I'm a conformist! is a flow on for my dad's days as a truck driver and the call 'keep on trucking' - it's a positive saying - like keep on going, a good luck wish or a friendly gesture. Also hence the happy face straight after too ! So to everyone I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Oky Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 1 - Oh, never mind. 2 - If that's so, how come you think the pizza truck (which doesn't have a mark) will be the TRU exclusive? 3 - I know. I was just joking as well, hence the goofy face. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Yow - I need all these! And here I am, still struggling to get all the Indy sets (plus additional copies), all the Star Wars sets (oh, if only I could!), and various other things; I haven't even gotten any of the launch wave of Toy Story sets yet, and I'm already straining to figure out how to get all the forthcoming ones. Aieee, my poor wallet... But man, I still can dream! I just hope that Toy Story Alien promo set makes it to the US somehow (Halloween or Christmas Target polybags, perhaps?)... Quote
gunm Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I really want the garbage and pizza trucks now. :p Quote
Clone OPatra Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Based on the five digit number with a bunch of zeroes, it will likely be a Brickmaster set in the U.S. Otherwise, it is some sort of other promotion, but not an impulse. Impulse sets always have normal numbers, and there's never been a licensed impulse yet anyhow, only small promotionals. Quote
prateek Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 (edited) Nice! An alien in a small set. Edited March 17, 2010 by prateek Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 (edited) The only one i really like is the pizza planet truck - and I do really like it. it's figure packed, great model, of a trademark of the series. all the other models are too prefab for me, like the city farm or the airplanes with the big molded wings and cabin. too many huge pieces, too few overall, lots of empty space. and I cannot express my disgust with the purple teddy bear. That said, why oh why has no one picked up on the outstanding gem of the collection? In the limited edition set, the minifig of this muscle-y bug dude. Too cool!! edit: OK, and I'm good with the set that figure comes in too, it's got solid creator set design, a blue dumpster. and my new favorite specialty figure Edited March 17, 2010 by SpiderSpaceman Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 2 - If that's so, how come you think the pizza truck (which doesn't have a mark) will be the TRU exclusive? Sorry, my goof, it's the rubbish truck one that's an exclusive - duh ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote

But then again, don't Brickmaster sets usually have more parts than this? If that's true, though, I might have to get Brickmaster after all. Either way, I'm still holding my fingers crossed for them to be "normal" promos. That said, why oh why has no one picked up on the outstanding gem of the collection? In the limited edition set, the minifig of this muscle-y bug dude. Too cool!! What do you mean "picked up"? We've been talking about Twitch for pages. By the way, do you guys think his wings will be actual wings like the Geonosians have them or just a back print? I can't really tell from the picture. Sorry, my goof, it's the rubbish truck one that's an exclusive - duh ! Ah, figured so. Edited March 17, 2010 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
d00dz Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 What a sweetened poison pill! OH!? Is anyone in france and can get me 20 of those? :P My lonely green men need their space ships! lol! Quote
RileyC Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 That promo looks really nice! I really want that cause I love the LGMs! Quote

I hadn't heard anything since the first pics of the train, tonka, and trash management plant. I hadn't been following the topic until it was frontpaged and i assumed this was all new material on p.49 edit: oh ok, I see the conversation now. I was just surprised no-one was proclaiming drooling over the tiny picture yet I really hope it's actual wings, but I don't really see anything behind him. With all the specialty toy story molds it'd be a shame if they overlooked new bug wings, but I see nothing at this point. I definitely love what I do see. ILikePi Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 (edited) The alien mini ship looks great! Hopefully it'll be widely available so we can all make our own claw machines. The 2XXXX range seems to be for BrickMaster sets. Edited March 17, 2010 by ILikePi Quote

SpiderSpaceman Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Not since the new style of magnet sets with detachable figs was introduced in Jan 09. my first thoughts when those were introduced were "Why couldn't this happen for the batman line? " Quote
Peppermint_M Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I hope the promo turns up with The Daily Mirror and I am loving the dust cart. I am going to have a hard time choosing what to buy. Quote
Bobskink Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 OH!? Is anyone in france and can get me 20 of those? :P My lonely green men need their space ships! lol! I would love to help, but you need to spend €20 on Toystory Lego (per custiomer) to get one. I will maybe get one for myself in a store nearby, but helping others is near impossible on this one. But I think that eventualy these promo's will show op at other places, they always do. And come on, a France only xclusive Quote
FilmGirl27 Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Not exactly to do with the LEGO, but for anyone interested, Toy Story 3 spoiler free review. As for the alien ship- WANT! Hopefully the Daily Mirror will do something. Quote
Big Cam Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I don't know if it's new, but in a French toysore (Joueclub) you can get an Alien with spaceship (impuls size) free when you spend €20 on Toystory Lego.Check pic here I wonder if this is like the chrome stormtrooper where you can buy them for a few bucks from the Toys R Us store, that would stink for anyone who paid a bunch for the other ones from bricklink. Eilif Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Well, I have to say, I'm pretty happy with these new sets. Except for the charming minifigs I'm not terribly interested in toy story sets, but these seem to be well developed and have alot of good crossover with town, and that can only be a good thing. Very excited to seem more of what the train turns out to be as well. Quote
Gamer Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I am excited to see how these figs will turn out.Who is the toy with rocky arms? Gamer. Quote
