brickzone Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 (edited) Big Cam: By new - we are referring to the chair part that only recently has been produced with a moulding point in the base of the chair. The older chair parts are the same part, but do not have this "dish" with the mould point in the seat of the chair. This is mentioned earlier in the thread. Edited August 26, 2009 by brickzone Quote
muffinman42 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 the chair piece is fine, it can hold a minifigure upside down. shakeing can make the minifigure come loose. in unrelated news theres no way they can speed up or change gear, only steer. Quote
Derek Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 (edited) The chair piece is one of my favorite pieces, and I am glad it only has two studs, because 4 studs would look strange, and would be inconvienient. As for the cheap minifigs, a few of my legs (dark tan in particular) are attached to the middle "crotch" assembly crooked, and are loose. If anyone else has this problem, I can see it effecting the ability to stick to the chair... -darthperson Edited August 28, 2009 by darthperson Quote
Matt Dawson Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 My tow truck and camper have had problems with the seats. Blutack cured that problem But it's the legs that have changed as I've got some old blue seats from the late 80's/early 90's and the minifigs had problems with them... Quote

'I moved the chair to the center of my cousin's towtruck and it seems the window/door was cramping up the minifig/chair and was making it not as tight as it should have been. You could try that. Unless you think the driver in the middle of the car is wierd. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 There has been some discussion about whether the chair mould has been changed by Lego in recent years (like the loosening of the 1x1 round antenna base thingy). If you own the 10195 AT-OT for example, it is extremely annoying that the Clones do not seem able to sit still and constantly pop off the dark green chairs. There was some debate about whether this was due to weak minifig legs or an adjusted chair mould, since some chairs seem to extert a stronger pull on minifig behinds, but I don't think it was ever resolved. Hoobah! You're all wrong! my clones have been in that AT-OT for the month I've had it and they all stayed snug in their seats even when I missed a step going up the stairs with it and jerked the whole thing forward! My only complaint about that set is that it's a really bad idea to ever use the attaching function. It works fine, but a whole pount dor so is straining on one technic axle! But really, the chairs are fine for me. I Try to keep my minifigs in tip top shape, so I guess that's why they all fit in the chair so well. The only thing that's been bugging me recently is that their heads get really loose. I guess I'll make a topic and ask that. Quote
