sam89 Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 From De Bouwsteen: Ferrari8674 Ferrari F1 Racer 1:8 Date - Autumn 2006. Mindstroms 2006. 8527 Mindstorms Date -Â Autumn 2006. 9 Volt Motor - Technic. 8287 RC Motor Set 9V Date -Â Summer 2006. I assume the Mindstorms is the Bluetooth sets we heard about. I wonder what the Ferrari F1 will be? It'll be quite big at 1:8 scale, and it could be either Technic or brick-built (I hope brick-built since I've already got the Tecnhic version). Quote

Thank goodness - an up-to-date version of Mindstorms! There were rumors, but it's a relief to have confirmation. Hopefully we get a better interface than the current standard. And a proper RC motor control system would be welcome. Hope it is more compact than the big kludgy thing we get with the RC systems now. 1:8 Ferrari! That's pretty big! Hopefully it will be an interesting build - I didn't think the recent technic model was too interesting, but maybe this will be more wortwhile. Good news for AFOLs I would say. If only they would release a new Adventurers! (he shouts to the empty void, no one listening.....) Gyl Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Yeah, after waiting this long for new Mindstorms, that time BETTER have been spent improving the interface for non-geniuses like myself. Is it too much to ask to build a robotic Lego arm that grabs my toast and butters it in the morning without hiring a team of japanese scientists? Is it too much too ask!?! *sing* Quote
Ickelpete Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 :-D can't wait has anyone got any pictures Quote
xwingyoda Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Tks for the news Sam !!!! I sincerely hope the Ferrari is a UCS set entirely made of bricks and not a Technic set !!! Whats the pricing going to be if its a 1/8 UCS ?? Thats going to be ridiculous !!!! Quote
KMOI Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Doesn't sound bad! Not exactl;y bouncing off the ways here, if you know what I mean, but interesting nonetheless! Thanks for the information! Quote

Sam I edited your post to add that the tractor is a Technic set ;) That really disappoints me, was hoping for a system tractor >:( *yoda* Quote
xwingyoda Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Sorry about that! :'( Don't mention it Sam ;) *yoda* Quote
gylman Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 <squints> The technic truck may actually be good. Hard to tell. the technic tractor looks bizarre!! Wierd colours and cube-ish. Very odd. DYING to see these. Gyl Quote
Ickelpete Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 :oD great new technic to look forward to. needed a magnifing glass for the pictures though. :o the new truck remind me of the air claw rig that was available a few years ago Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 The train is called "Luxurious Cargo Train". I'm really looking forward to seeing this. I hope it's all new rolling stock as opposed to old cargo train stuff, but by the look of the engine, looks neat. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 PS. thanks for sharing the info. Quote
5150 Lego Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Technic sets look good! The tractor could have some enteresting possiblites for attachments. The truck looks good to. Looks like its a semi tow truck from the pics. Kinda disapointed though. Cause i've always wanted to build one myself. :( Either way, both of these will be in my collection. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Looks like there's a new passenger train as well (7897). Posted news under Trains & Town. Passenger Train 7897 Quote
Wolf04 Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Hey, could someone upload those pics somewhere else please because Bricklink doesn't work for me. :( I would greatly appreciate it. Quote
