Glacarcheo Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 This is a topic which you can discuss, give tips on, and post pictures of your ECs (Elongated Coins). Here are some tips that I have: Always use pennies from before 82, they are 95% Copper and 5% Zinc, the new ones (post-82) have 5% Copper, and 95% Zinc. That means when pressed, the copper ones won't have the annoying silver streaks, and they won't tarnish. Also to clean those old pennies, I find it best to use Brasso, it's very easy and effective. Have fun! PS. Pictures of my collection coming soon. Quote

My collection ranges from a shopping centre (mall), to a non-Lego theme park, a naval museum and of course one from Legoland. I have more too, but I also have non-elongated souvenir coins ( D-Day Normandy beaches, and Disneyland ) Quote
Luke McAwesome Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Oh, okay, so we can have a penny presser club, but not a penny pincher club? I think I know what you're talking about, are those the coins that you put in the machines and imprint new stuff on them like the Statue of Liberty and such? Quote
