Dr Kilroy Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Hello! On YFOL-e blog the first form of interview was asking FOLs about Lego. The questions were: 1. Your first Lego set you remember? 2. Your most loved set? 3. The worst thing did you do with your bricks? (you know, chewing bricks, etc. :D) 4. The first MOC you builded and published on EB? 5. Hmm... I don't know how to translate it to english... Set you want in childhood and you didn't get it then? 6. Favourite MOC (YOC) you builded? 7. Worst MOC (YOC) you builded? 8. Favourite MOC (HOC :D) on web? So... answer, please! My answers: 1. 5905 2.Cafe Corner!!! Hmm, I posted it somewhere! 3. Eee... not chewing, nothing (yet ). 4. I will add it... 5. Classic Town 6. I will add it, too... 7. I will not add it... 8. Athos' comics!!! Quote
HumanPackMule Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 1. It was an old plane impulse set from around 1995 or so that my grandmother got me when my sister was born. 2. The Viking Warship 3. Used them with Megabloks 4. Patchwerk 5. The old Pirate Ship, Black Sea Barracuda 6. The Castle I have set up in my room. 7. It was my attempt at an X-Wing when I was 5 or 6. It looked more like an H-Wing 8. I got a bunch of favorites Quote
Glacarcheo Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 1. It was either 6094 or 6098. 2. Hmmm... either my Fallingwater, my Guggenheim, my Lamborghini, or my Skopio XV-1! 3. Combining with MegaBloks. 4. Have yet to publish, but my PowerMiners temple... 5. Like, every Bionicle ever made! Oh yeah, and some Castle... 6. PowerMiners Temple 7. A Bionicle I made when I was 5. 8. I dunno, it's always changing! Quote
The Who Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 1. Some Alpha Team set, who knows what it was. 2. All of them. 3. Combined with Megablocks 4. The first MOC you builded and published on EB? 5. Anything that was big and expensive. 6. Indy Peruvian Temple. (WIP) 7. Too many... 8. Giant Lisa Lamb. Quote
Mraz Skintas Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 1. 7101 - Lightsaber Duel. I have that set in a case somewhere. 2. 7676 - Republic Attack Gunship. Have one modded into ARC gunship, One Lucky Lekku, have another one coming that will be Crumb Bomber 3. Not sure. I did cut off half of a Clone Wars Anakin's legs, left arm, and burnt it to give it the charred Vader look. 4. Halo Wars UNSC Sparrowhawk 5. 7166 - Imperial Shuttle, or 7106 - Droid Escape, and to this day, I still don't have a C-3PO 6. Probably either my ARC Gunship, of Halo 3 UNSC Pelican V.2 7. My Halo Banshee, it was crap to say the least 8. Phillip Morgan's CR-20 Quote
Ralph_S Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 (edited) 1 set 709, the police boat. Oddly enough I remember mine as having a red technic bush rather than a grey one and mine came with two of the earlier mini figures that didn't have separate arms. Edit: Correction. the differences arise because it's actually another set: set 314! 2 set 5580, the Model Team Highway rig. It started a long love affair with building American trucks. 3 Chew, definitely chew. I'm still phasing out old parts with toothmarks! 4 I even found the topic. It wasn't a single MOC, but my whole brickshelf gallery. 5 Set 6379, riding stable. I loved it when it came out, but somehow never got round to buying one. A big shame, because it's still a lovely set that wouldn't look out of place in a newer LEGO city. 6 My B-1B Lancer. Time for a picture: I chose it because it certainly is the most complicated MOC I ever built, if not the most visually pleasing. Ask me tomorrow and you'd get a different answer. 7 They never make it onto the internet, so no pictures here. I couldn't tell you which I think is the worst of the ones I do have on the internet (although there are a few that I feel could do with a rebuild). I tried building a Jeep Grand Cherokee around Christmas. It just wouldn't come together and every single version I built was crap. I took it apart within hours after finishing it. 8 There is no single answer, because I keep seeing things I like. Ed Diment's Hood is certainly one of my favourites. Vestabuyer Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 1. The Futuron Monorail Set 2. Easily the Vestas 4999 Promotional 3. The worst thing done to my bricks was using an xacto-knife to "modify" the parts...it sucked when rebuilding the sets 4. Still working on my first MOC, hopefully will have it done by the end of next month 5. Anyone of the 9V train sets from the early 90's 6. The one currently being built 7. Hopefully not the one I am building 8. Probably the mini-fig scale roller coaster that I found on a website a few months ago Quote
-JD- Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 1. Creator Box or Anakin's Podracer- My mum got it for a rainy day 2. Clone Fighter Tank 3. Broke an antennae piece..kinda easy to do. 4. Ahsoka Dead Episode One 5. Several Castle sets and City sets... 6. Custom Republic Dropship 7. Dinosaur I made when I was five. 8. Wow...too hard to decide! Quote
CP5670 Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 1: 6503 Sprint Racer 2: 8868 Airtech Claw Rig 3: I lost 12 mid-90s minifigs in a school project that seemingly got stolen. 4: Annihilator (second thing in my signature) 5: I can name tons of these, but I got most of them from ebay later on. The only big one left is the 6399 Airport Shuttle, which I probably won't ever get due to its exorbitant prices. 6: Black Hole (first thing in my signature) 7: As a kid I often made these big spaceships combining everything in my collection. One of them was so flimsy that I couldn't actually lift it from the ground without the whole thing breaking up. 8: It's hard to give a single best MOC, but anything by Dennis Bosman is awesome. Quote

I cutted Polearm Halberd (6123) and made a small pole and a short axe 4. I haven't published anything yet. 5. It was 6090 Royal Knight's Castle. Instead of it I got Night Lord's Castle, but I wanted it too, so....It had to be one of them :) 6. Possibly my Medieval tavern, but it's not finished yet 7. Well, it should be a christmas tree, but in the end it looked like brushwood from swamp 8. It changes every month..... Quote

Most recent was some really crappy buffers for my Cargo Train. They no longer exist..... 8. Can't remember the guys name but it's the giant aircraft carrier that has been linked on several forums. I'll try and find the link and report back. Well that or pretty much anything by RalphS. He is my hero!! Cheers Rog Quote

Nikau Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Hello! 1. A superlight red and white plane thingy. My Grandad glued it together, however it was broken ages ago when I tried to seperate the parts. 2. Black Falcon's Fortress 3. A pirate head once ended up being buried in the garden. 4. Need to get around to that... 5. Too many to name, most of the sets from city circa 1990 I saw on the back of old instruction books. I'm still in my childhood (barely) though. 6. A city I built when I was about 4 or 5; bits hanging off everywhere and it was ugly as hell, however, entirely fun. Other than that a castle I built several years ago that was connected by a bridge and was the best looking thing I've made. A huge rainbow tower made of Duplo and lego was also nice. 7. Gone and forgotten 8. Best thing I've ever seen. Quote

The first MOC you builded and published on EB? First and only! (so far) 5. Set you want in childhood and you didn't get it then? 8460 6. Favourite MOC (YOC) you builded? Probably a nice little sports car, built many years ago. Twas a ripper, and very good at jumps! 7. Worst MOC (YOC) you builded? Too many! Most never really make it far enough to be remembered. 8. Favourite MOC (HOC :D) on web? Any fully functional technic supercar. Quote

Hmm... I don't know how to translate it to english... Set you want in childhood and you didn't get it then? Oh, I don't know, I am still considered a child by some. 6. Favourite MOC (YOC) you builded? My Hornet Starfighter. 7. Worst MOC (YOC) you builded? default_classic.gif See #4. 8. What is your favorite HOC? Anything by SirNadroj.
