Bob Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 (edited) Wait a minute? What's the Nebulon-B Frigate? Well, you remember that smaller sized Rebel Ship from Episode Five and Episode Six, right? Oh yeah! That Rebel Ship! Random Person: But Bob, What did you base the unknown Star Destroyer off of? I haven't gotten to that yet! Hold on! The Nebulon-B Frigate, originally created by Kuat Drive Yards as an Imperial Ship. However, enough paraphrasing from Wikipedia, time to post the actual pictures: My take on the ship, the whole overview. The engines. I didn't focus on this area of the ship for a long time, so it's not correct. I might fix this. On the side. I'm not sure why LucasFilms put in the different things here. I'm sure they have a purpose, and it does look very Star Warsy... and the engine area. ______________________________________________________________ Now it's time for the Imperial side of this post. Cue the Imperial March! The back. Underneath the ship. Random Person: But Bob, you never told us what you based that Star Destroyer off of! That's the thing, I didn't base it off of anything other than the original Star Destroyer. You'll notice it has several differences from the regular one. a different type of bridge, and less lasers. The ship is more of a transport ship instead of one to be thrown into the front lines of the war. It has two laser batteries, and a proton beam from the front of the ship. It is called the Fearless Class Star Destroyer, but the running joke is that you would have to be fearless to be on that ship, since it only has two laser batteries. Thank you for looking, comments, and suggestions are wanted. Edited July 24, 2009 by Bob the Construction Man Quote
RepublicForces Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 (edited) Mmmm, nice try mister! No really,it's far to blocky and misses a lot of detail. And look ad your nebulon and the one from the pic: your back is square there it's kinda triangle down. Sorry... ( don't mean any offense in this post) Edit: forgot to say i can see a mix between old and new grey. Edited July 24, 2009 by repubilcFORCES Quote
Darth Legolas Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Mmmm, nice try mister! No really,it's far to blocky and misses a lot of detail. Sorry... I don't wanna sound mean...but it's too blocky. No detail. I guess that's already been said but here are the upsides: The antennae on the first ship are creative, and the guns on the second are great! Just try to un-square both ships and add a lot more greebles, and you missed the command tower on the first ship! Quote
Commander Flash Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Way to blocky. It would be nice once un-blockified, then details could show Just keep trying Quote
Bob Posted July 25, 2009 Author Posted July 25, 2009 To be honest with you, I thought that the Star Destroyer was the weaker of the two. I quicky built it so that the Nebulon would have something to go up against. The Nebulon I thought was good, but it's a work in progress as well. Thanks for the comments! Quote
Lasse D Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 It's a good frame for a WIP ship. It is often hard to get started on such ships, getting the proportions right and have a frame that is sturdy enough. Now I suppose you will go into some extreme SNOT and greebling in order to recreate the weird angles and surfaces of the "real" ship. My first attempts at prototypes for my large capital ship were no better Quote
