ACCURATEin Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Lots of progess is being made in Lego City. Houses, restaraunts, and shops are all finding their place inside the city. Enjoy the pics!! Grand opening of the pizza villa! (modified city corner) Octan receives a revamped car wash! Power functions motor preparing to power the wind mill!! A view of the elevated Lego City Transport station (LCT) I'm going to use yellow as the official color of the transport system. The rear of the station will be modified to look nice just like the track side of the station. The residents of Lego City will surely benefit from the addition of their newest retail store... a Home Depot Express concept store!! Duke Life Flight paramedics and Ferrari squad eating MOAR chicken!! The Pink Hotel is on the backburner! A new costume store is also in the works! New addition to residential row. (modified family home) Quote
ACCURATEin Posted July 15, 2009 Author Posted July 15, 2009 Officers on duty.. Modified one of the city corner buses into an American school bus. Still more work to be done to complete the look... My girlfriend built the park!! Ferrari has built a shop in Lego City as well!! Spoon Sports has also opened up shop right next door to Ferrari.. The Spoon Sports shop will be scaled rather accurately, and will include a second level. A working car elevator is also in the plans. Chilis Restaraunt and Bar is being constructed right next to Market Street. The new Firestation will be placed on the opposite side of the Chilis. The Firemen will be happy!!! View of Main Street. That's all for now! Stay tuned for more developments. Quote
posades Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Woah, that is quite the city setup! I see it's slowly taking over a room, better watch out. I love all the buildings you made but especially the Chick-fil-a, it looks exactly like the real thing. Gets a big from me! Quote
Luke McAwesome Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 This is amazing. I wish I could have something like this, but the house I live in is so small, it barely has room for my stuff! Nice work! Quote

ACCURATEin Posted July 16, 2009 Author Posted July 16, 2009 Woah, that is quite the city setup! I see it's slowly taking over a room, better watch out. I love all the buildings you made but especially the Chick-fil-a, it looks exactly like the real thing. Gets a big from me! Yes! It's taking over the entire room. My dream is to have a large room dedicated for LEGO. Thanks for the comments! There are a few things that can be done to make the chickfila even better, perhaps i'll do those modifications in the future. And i eat at chickfila about once a week, so it was inevitable that i was going to build one haha!! This is amazing. I wish I could have something like this, but the house I live in is so small, it barely has room for my stuff! Nice work! Thank you! If you really push for it, you'll find a way to make a Lego City fit right into one of your rooms. I thought long and hard as to how this was going to be made a reality. Why is there a topless person in the Pizza Villa ... May I make a reservation for a room in the lovely hotel :) Wow thats a great city so far, I can't wait to see the costume store...make sure to have a Vader comstume hahaha i didn't even notice that. Perhaps it's the cities first topless pizza parlor!! And yes you may place your reservations now! Visit www.thepinkhotel.com ..(I wonder if that's an actual website) Right now the store only has the storm trooper costume. A vader costume would sell very well i'm sure! Wonderful and impressive collection, ACCURATEin! So many things to see I really can't choose a favourite so I'll only say great work! (specially with your pink hotel) Thank you Sir!! I hope to build many more things, and will hopefully finish off a lot of the projects that have already begun. I'm finding it's kind of fun to jump around from MOC to MOC. Quote
spade450 Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Overall, a great city. I really like the idea of the costume shop. What a great way to use some random figs that would not really go well with the city theme. I am trying to add Brickbeard's Bounty to my city -- maybe a "tall ship" visit -- but then I need a waterfront. It's fun to try to mix the themes but still keep a certain amount of "realism." Quote
Azrael Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Wow LOVE the city, so much great work! LOVED the cops on Segways LOL (Or however you spell it) Monumental undertaking! Great job! ~A Quote
prateek Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Great updates I love the houses, they look so modern Quote

Thank you! The costume shop idea came about when i was wondering how i could use the various other minifigs that didn't quite go along with the city theme. A costume shop immediately popped up in my head! I also have one of the old pirate ships that I could try and incorporate into the city once i get around to adding a harbor/beach. Wow LOVE the city, so much great work! LOVED the cops on Segways LOL (Or however you spell it) Monumental undertaking! Great job!~A Thank you! I think you spelled it correctly haha. My city is no where near the level of your cruise ship! Whenever the harbor is built, feel free to come dock at our Port!! Great updates I love the houses, they look so modern Thank you! It was fun building the houses. Hopefully we will build more elaborate ones in the future. Quote
diabloiij Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 (edited) Wow very nice Lego city here. What do you use to clean your gigantic display? any tip? Edited July 17, 2009 by diabloiij Quote
Eilif Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Great job here. Your city is really growing. My favorites: 1) Elevating the yellow train station. I really like the concept here. I think it could benefit from having a back though. 2) The "Chili's" Pepper. Really creative use of parts! 3) The tan house is really classy! It's great to see a couple layouts with an elevated train. A great way to add visual interest to a town. Quote
ACCURATEin Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 Wow very nice Lego city here. What do you use to clean your gigantic display? any tip? Thank you! So far the city hasn't collected much dust, but when the time comes i'll probably use the dyson with the brush attachment. Great job here. Thank you! It's growing with a quickness! I figured i would put the train station on the support beams just to see how it would look, and it seems to look fine sitting in the air. When i get around to it, i'll finish off the back and maybe even make the platform bigger. It should turn out nice! The Chili's idea came about because i always eat at that restaraunt, so i figured I would design it to fit with the modular lineup. The main element to a chili's restataunt is the famous big red pepper, and this was my closest rendering of one haha. The tan house was a fun project. It turned out beyond my expectations, and i hope to build another one in the future! Quote
