Finally!

, and it's awesome. It shows the beginning of the end, with some different scenes (mostly from the 2nd part) cluttered between it.

It's epic! I really thought the film wasn't going to be good, but now I can say I have found some confidence. The trailer reminds me of the film version of the Prisoner of Azkaban, which was in my opinion the best one of the film versions. It looks really good and very epic, like it has to be. I also like the way the group looks older, and Harry so tired and dirty and with the beginning of a beard at the end, just as described in the book. How clever to begin near the end in a trailer.

I'm getting pretty excited for the film. I wasn't very excited for the Half-Blood Prince because I already knew that film was going to be about teenage love etc. But this one will be good, I even look forward on the trio camping and having fights and such.

Thanks for the trailer, Matn! :sweet:

This really does look fantastic! I can't wait!

Who was that using the Force on the Hogwarts Express? I don't remember that bit!

I've watched the trailer about 20 times so far. Haha!:cry_happy: It's amazing! There are screenshots here-

I've noticed some interesting things, like in the room of requirement, there are chess pieces from the first movie and lamps from the Slug Club party. :cry_happy:

I believe that's one of the Carrows, stopping the train to kidnap Luna. :classic: I'm glad they might include some goings on away from the trio. Though, lol, it would be so funny if they just ran the guy over instead of stopping.

Yeah, I noticed the pawn at the back too.

Amycus? I guess I'll have to re-read the book before I see the film.

That's the one! I always forget his first name.

I also noticed this:

Also, in the shot of Hermione and Ron, you can clearly see Fred's wall behind them. *cries already*

Well, I'm a fan of the books, that's for sure, although I don't actually own any of them. The last time I read the series was in anticipation for the final book's release. I had already read through books one through six before that, but I thought it would be a good idea to get them fresh in my mind again before reading the last book in the series. Overall, I have to say that Book Five is my favorite, followed by either Book 4 or book 7. But really, all of them are fantastic - Harry Potter is easily one of the most original fantasy series in recent memory, and J.K.Rowling's rich writing makes them a blast to read over and over again.

I think my favorite book is most probebly the deathly hallows (ive always had a thing for the last parts of saga's  )

Also I realised that in the battle of hogwarts it got a bit beat up, but looking at that poster and that trailer it looks like its been completely leveled! *oh2*

and that man using the force on the hogwarts express is actuly the master from the classic series of Doctor who

I just saw the newer trailer on the big screen yesterday, and it just looks so ridiculously epic! So much riveting eye candy; I can't wait!

It's interesting that they'd decide to add in Amycus stopping the train, since that doesn't actually happen in the book, you just hear about it. I'm sure they know what they're doing, though.

Also, in one of the shots in the preview it looks like Olivander is in his wand shop, but he already got kidnapped in the 6th film. Where could he be?

It looks epic (only word to describe it really). I don't remember the train in the book, or the fact it was stopped. Was it destroyed or something?

Anyway, Radcliffe has stubble! Time sure flies by, eh?

There is no scene with the train in the book, but it is mentioned that Death Eaters stopped the train when it was on its way to the school and abducted Luna. Just like the filmmakers added a scene of the Death Eaters kidnapping Olivander (which wasn't seen in the book) at the beginning of Half-Blood Prince, they've decided to show Luna's abduction. I think it will make a very nice scene.

I see. Thanks for clearing that up!

I can't remember the details of the seventh book as I've only read it once, and that was when it came out.

He could be at Shell Cottage after escaping from Malfoy Manor, but not sure..

Okay, although this isn't really Harry Potter news, it's related. Ronald Moore, the writer of the Battlestar Galactica (2004) series, is working on a new television series inspired by Harry Potter. It's "described as an adult Harry Potter set in a world ruled not by science but by magic", it's made for Sony and they already pumped in 2 million dollars for the series.

Now, I'm not very familiar with BG but I heard it's pretty good. I love this idea, althought book seven had an adult feeling because it was written for those who grew up with Harry Potter. I'm thinking it will involve wizards, unknown for the normal people, in the world we live in today. ...which also makes me a bit unhappy as I'm currently writing something like that, but I bet Moore will work it out greatly (he's got the experience and of course a big pile of money behind him). And my idea will never be visually realised.

I'm looking forward to this. After all the Harry Potter madness, fans will probably enjoy this as a replacement. Now just hope this is good.

EDIT: forgot the link.

Interesting news, I take it that when it happens there will be new actors and an unknown Hogwarts. I would like to see some more info before deciding what to think about it.

This does sound intriguing, but with so little information, it will be hard to tell whether or not it bears resemblance to HP. Is it a part of the HP universe, a similar product, or an entirely new idea. We don't really know.

This could have a lot of potential if it is done right.

100th post!

Is that the Burrows getting blasted to bits? :look: And is that super-epic, scary, white, ghost-thing Dumbledore? :oh:

No, I believe that would be the Lovegoods' house. And the scary white thing is the Dumbledore charm set up by Moody to scare off Snape at Grimauld Place.
