Minifigs Postures

I am relatively new to Lego and wonder if there is a category of discussions on how to produce different postures for the minifigs, I find the original Lego legs and arms very limited for visualizing certain postures, and I had to resort to the use of other parts in trying to achieve this:

Let me first say that Michael Jackson is very nice. To get some better postures you usually have to take arms or legs off the minifig. Look here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=29529
