captaintau Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Whilst playing with Slave I a few mins ago, I noticed a flaw: Dengar's hood (a Ninja hood I beleive) has a clip on the back. "Great" I thought - somewhere to put his weapon. Then I realised that its supposed to be Ninja hood. So, presumably, the clip is for the Shinobigatana (Ninja sword). In that case, the clip is facing the wrong way. The shoulder-located Shinobigatana would be drawn by the Ninja using the right hand and drawing upwards. The minifig would have to draw left-handed, which would be certain death. You'd think LEGO would get this right. Quote

It makes me want the Slave I even more!Could you please post a pic of the Bespin gaurd? Um, the Bespin guard is in the picture with the whole cast, or do you mean a close-up? I mean a close-up, if it isn't too much trouble. Quote
Starwars4J Posted December 24, 2005 Author Posted December 24, 2005 No problem at all! Here's from the front. A nice torso, and regular face with an old Western theme cap! From the side (the arms aren't chipped, they have brown markings on them) And finally, from the back (fairly plain) Quote

sam89 Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 OK, I've got a problem. I'm left with two 1x1 dark greay cylinders, and the instructions says that there are 8 included. I can only find six: 2 on each wing (where it connects to the ship) and 2 at the front just infront of the green curves. That makes 6, so where do the other two go? EDIT: Found them. They go on the bottom of the ship. Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 I know this is an old topic, but could someone who had this version and the first Slave I (not Jango's, the first Boba's) make a picture with the two of them on it? I missed Jango's and I'd like to see it compared to the oldest Slave I :) Quote
sam89 Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Here's a pic of all three Slave 1s together (not mine): http://tinypic.com/j6lxrb.jpg Quote

Now I just have to pick one up because it makes the old one look like crap :P. And I hope my bid for Jango's Slave I at the "dutch e-bay" was high enough too Quote

Zane Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 It is actually way bigger than Jango's....it might get a buy in next years January sales. TT Quote
MattZitron Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 I never realised how small the original Slave 1 is!!! Quote

At least, in comparison to versions 2 and 3. I thought Jango's was pretty amazing, but you have to hand it to LEGO for the job they did on the latest. Apart from not having enough weapons to go round the figures Quote
JoeMI6 Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 That was a wicked review, i'll definetly be getting it as i need those awesome bounty hunters. Just wondering, as i'm limited on cash, which should i get, the Sail Barge or Slave 1? Quote

Well, as we don't know how long the Slave I will be available, might as well get that now, and save up for the Sail Barge If you have to make a CHOICE though (as in permanent), I'd go Sail Barge Quote
Beagle Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Just got this ship, finally, and I love it. After hanging it next to Jango's and the original, you guys are all totally right about it being head and shoulders above the previous incarnations. It just looks much sleeker, much more unified as a design. I had a question for you guys, though.... a week or two ago I remember seeing a modification someone had done to theirs that made the cockpit look a little swankier. I seem to remember it had kind of a "handlebar" setup, with Boba standing up vertically. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm not sure if I saw it on Eurobricks or Brickshelf or somewhere else, but I'd love to track it down again so I can decide if I want to do a similar modification to mine. Thanks very much, everyone! Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Beagle, I think you mean this gallery !! It looks great !!! I cannot wait to modify mine once I receive it in a couple of days !!! Show us your mods Beagle once done !! Yoda Quote
Beagle Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Awesome, thank you Yoda! That's exactly the one! :-D Yeah, I'll have to see how feasible this will be.... but it sure does look good. If I end up modding it successfully I'll definitely try to get some pics! Thanks again, I really appreciate that! Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 I picked up this set yesterday and built it last night. It's a nice set. Took a while for me to build, but well worth it. The figs are nice. I esp. like Boba and the Bespin Guard (need a few more). The ship itself is pretty sturdy (and heavy). Good design, and nice detail. My only complaint is how the arms don't attach to the wings, They just rest at the end. Here's the image from Starwars4J's review: In addition, once again (just like the original), the Han Solo compartment in the back is funky. At least this one slides out unlike the first (which seemed to always stick). One has to lift the back up to make Han go in all the way. Aside from these two issues, it's a great set. Quote
oo7 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 If 'Good review' is the extent of the descriptional depth of your posts, please don't post in five moth old topics. ;-) Quote
