ADHO15 Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Hello all! As some of you may have seen, I'm currently trying to sell all of the LEGO sets I don't use anymore (everything but Star Wars). If you are interested in purchasing any of my sets, have a look in my shop. This morning, before I pack some of the sets up to be shipped, I decided to put them all together and take some pictures. I'm sorry for bad pics. It hasn't been a nice day and the lighting in the dining room isn't very good. Also, my camera isn't the best and I'm not a very steady photographer, so please excuse any bad pictures. Here is my Hogwarts (and surrounding areas): Here's an overall picture. I realise some of the scenes never coexisted, and that there should only be one of each character, but I wanted to keep the sets together to avoid losing more pieces. Here's a look at the right side, from the front. You can see Hogwarts in the middle, the grounds in front and other places behind. And from the left. Here is the quidditch pitch from 4726 Quidditch Practice. Here's a close-up of the stand and the figs. 4707 Hagrid's Hut. This is the boat and arch from the 4709 Hogwarts Castle. 4727 Aragog in the the Dark Forest. And a closer view. Round the back is Number 4, Privet Drive from 4728 Escape from Privet Drive. Ron and his Ford Anglia are also included. Here's the 4755 Knight Bus. Here's Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley. 4719 Quality Quidditch Supplies. 4720 Knockturn Alley. And every wizard's favourite bank: Gringotts. And the little goblin behind the counter. Behind the bank is the small cart and vault. An overview of Hogsmeade nearby. The sweet shop from 4756 Shrieking Shack. And the Shack itself, along with the nice 'transformation' shed. Hogsmeade Station. And the approaching Hogwarts Express. The back of the castle. I've put some sets on top of others to make it much bigger. The right side. The basilisk and stone head from the Chamber of Secrets. 4729 Dumbledore's Office. 4733 The Dueling Club. The entrance to the Chamber of Secrets above it. The Great Hall next door. Part of the 4730 Chamber of Secrets. And the other part. Above that is a hallway/classroom and the Gryffindor common room above that. And in the tower is an opening table and an astronomy classroom. In the next tower is 4752 Professor Lupin's classroom. The part underneath is made up of three sets: 4751 Harry and the Marauder's Map, 4712 Troll on the Loose and 4735 Slytherin common room. Next is 4706 Forbidden Corridor. And 4731 Dobby's Release on top. The 4702 Final Challenge follows on. And 4701 Sorting Hat above. Which house will he be in? I had a spare tower from the Chamber of Secrets so I turned it into a little owlery. And finally is a look at 4721 Hogwarts Classroom. I hope you enjoyed the tour of my Harry Potter sets. Once again, my apologies for the awful pictures. That was the best I could get out of my camera. I'd love to hear all your comments! Quote
Sandy Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Omg, you have almost all the pre-2005 sets! I have collected most of them, but I'm still lacking several of those what you've got, so I'm envious. It all looks quite fun together, but I bet they look more delicious in nature. A very fine collection, too bad you're selling it away - well, bad for you, great for those who buy the sets from you. There are still a few left which you are welcome to if you wish. I used to be a big Harry Potter fan so I wanted the whole collection. It didn't end up happening, though. It does look very good all built-up together and I'm starting to get attached to it again, but I don't think my parents would appreciate me keeping Hogwarts on the dining room table all the time! RepublicForces Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 really nice collection I also had a lot HP sets but not so much as you, and mine are all destroyed Quote
Sandy Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 There are still a few left which you are welcome to if you wish. Thanks, but I think I already own all the available sets. Plus my LEGO quota is quite filled up for my this month's budget. "Could you pass me the salt, please? It's in the Forbidden Corridor." "Here you go. Can I get one of those napkins from Gringotts?" Quote

Mine were all mixed up too, but I spent the last few weeks sorting them all out. Thanks, but I think I already own all the available sets. ILikePi Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 WOW! You really went into detail to show all of your sets! Did you buy every single one of them? Nice collection, anyways. I'm a huge fan of HP. Quote

Thank you, Pi. I did not buy them all. There were a couple I missed from the Philosopher's Stone, Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban, as well as all of the Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix. My sister has Draco's Encounter with Buckbeak as well, but wouldn't let me include it in the display. Quote
Algernon Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Topics like this make me really miss the Harry Potter theme. Quote

Zorro Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Very nice collection. Now I see how many sets were actually released (and I presume you don't have all of them?) Congrats with such a nice collection and much luck selling them. Quote
ADHO15 Posted August 6, 2009 Author Posted August 6, 2009 hey this is awesome. Would you be interested in having your HP lego collection a part of a Harry Potter feature week I am organizing? PM me for more info. Thank you very much, jenn. I'm pleased that your first post was in my topic. I'm intrigued to hear more about this 'event', but as sologuy said, you need to have 10 posts before you can use the PM system. You're welcome to post more info here, however. If you read the first few lines of ADHO15's post, you can see that he has already packed up every single one of these sets, and probably some are already in the hands of other people. Actually, Pi, I'm not that far through the process, with my recent holiday and things, my organizing's gone to pot. However, I do intend to pack them up shortly. Very nice collection. Now I see how many sets were actually released (and I presume you don't have all of them?)Congrats with such a nice collection and much luck selling them. Thanks a lot, Zorro. I'm glad you like it. I'm missing the GF and OP sets as well as a few PS and PA sets. Quote

ADHO15 Posted August 7, 2009 Author Posted August 7, 2009 Does that include mine which we were talking about what seemed like forever ago? Not anymore. I've sent you the shipping info you asked for. Sorry to you for the delay as well. Also, jenn, if you can tell me more about your 'event' ASAP, that would be great, otherwise, I'll have fewer and fewer HP sets left. Thanks. Quote
Reaper052 Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 That is an impressive collection of harry potter set. I regret not getting more potter sets back when the theme still lived. But that was back in my 'bionicle stage' ,oh well. Reaper052 :skull: Quote
