Mr Man Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 There has been so much talk about the changes in the BluRay box set that I just had to get in on the fun!. Quote
Praiter Yed Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Love the Blu-Ray joke Oky . Excellent choice of quote and I'm particularly fond of the Hammer Horror style 'villager with a flaming torch' . I vote that we all group together and fight these Blu-Ray changes in the best way we can... by taking pictures of Lego! George will soon realise he's gone too far this time. Quote

We have got to follow up Oky's comic with a "nitpick" edition. Instead of 'Han Shot First', we need t-shirt slogans like 'Cover up Cloud City' and "Darth Vader's eyebrows". Oh, and "Artoo tastes good" is a must. Quote
Masked Builder Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 More good ones Oky! You really are taking advantage of this release! Quote
Fallenangel Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 In one of the Special Editions (not sure which) Sebastian Shaw's eyebrows were digitally removed. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted September 9, 2011 Author Posted September 9, 2011 I believe it's the new Blu-Ray edition actually, since the last update was before Revenge of the Sith. (I could be wrong about this, though) The reason they were removed is to keep continuity with Anakin's brows getting burned off, because we all know once brows are burned, they can never grow back. K-Nut Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Hmmmm, sorry to contradict but I think it might be more like this ... *snip* Looks to far right. Oh gawd! My eyes! Save me from this horror! Good ones Oky, though I don't see anything wrong with the Nightspeeder. I like it. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Hilarious Single Triple Pane Funny, Prater Yed! Quote
Mr Man Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 In one of the Special Editions (not sure which) Sebastian Shaw's eyebrows were digitally removed. Unlike some changes this one seems to make sense. Hmmmm, sorry to contradict but I think it might be more like this ... *Snip* And this seems to be taking it to it's logical conclusion, replacing SS with a CGI HC face . (Don't throw things at me pl.. *Ackk* ). Quote
Praiter Yed Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 (edited) Hilarious Single Triple Pane Funny, Prater Yed! Wow, thanks for the blog . Although this is a different scene, it was Stardusty's comment that gave me this idea way back in May! I've only just got round to shooting it - thanks Stardusty ... I still laugh when I watch scene from ESB where Leia kisses Luke. Fun quiz: Why did it have to be Leia saying this and not Luke? In ROTJ when Luke tells Leia she is his sister she says 'I know, somehow I've always known.' EDIT: Added answer Edited September 13, 2011 by Praiter Yed Quote
LandShark Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Well obviously Leia feels weird, she's got no arms! Quote
Delta 38 Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Sorry for the delay... I've been fairly busy and hadn't got time to finish off the rest of mine. I'm using a new speech bubble format, which is fairly time-consuming but looks better. You can also go to my Flickr photostream to view the rest of the completed ones. Also, The Stormtrooper Fan Club. Quote

I think it's because Luke looks like he actually quite enjoyed it. Quote
Praiter Yed Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Well obviously Leia feels weird, she's got no arms! She's strong willed, sarcastic and she's a fighter but once you get to know her she's completely armless (groan) - sorry, nul points. Hehe, nice one. I think it's because Luke looks like he actually quite enjoyed it. Thanks for the blog Oky . Luke is definitely happy about the kiss (and I think there could be some symbolism in the angle of the rope ) but also, no points. The answer relates to canon. Quote
Oky Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Is it a reference to that Robot Chicken sketch? Or maybe Back to the Future? Quote
Praiter Yed Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Is it a reference to that Robot Chicken sketch? Or maybe Back to the Future? Man, you've taken the bull by the horns on this one. Sorry, none of the above. It doesn't go beyond the OT movies and it's linked to something one of them says in one of the three films - I've already said too much . Quote
Oky Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Well, I give up. I'll leave it to the OT buffs to figure it out. In order to lighten the mood on this dark date (9/11), here are some new funnies from me: Quote
Mr Man Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Shorley Eth Koth is more attractive than them all then . Quote
Masked Builder Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Oky you keep getting better and better! But good funnies all round. Quote
LandShark Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 (edited) Great ones, Oky. I've got some ideas which I have photographed, I'll try and post them soon. Edited September 12, 2011 by LandShark Quote
Jedi master Brick Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Very nice funnies Oky and Pratier Yed, they are a good way to get a laugh Quote
Lord Of The Fries Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 (edited) Here's another one from me: "Those were the droids I was looking for." Edited September 13, 2011 by Lord Of The Fries Quote
