Joey Lock Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Do you think there is a way to not pay the Mininum Buy? Since Im buying all my bricks for HMS Unicorn tonight hopefully, So I need to know whether contacting them will work?
Ricecracker Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I believe this topic belongs here . But, to answer your question, you can usually contact the seller and request that they pardon you from their minimum order value, but no, there is no actual way to bypass the minimum order value.
Captain Green Hair Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Some stores ask for a code to bypass it, otherwise it's indeed best to contact the vendor. It is ofcourse cheaper to get most, if not all your parts from 1 store to save on shipping costs, which can be a pain as well.
SuvieD Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 All you need is the password from the seller. Both shipping and price restrictions have a password you can use and there is even one for when a store is closed allowing you to place an order.
Commodore Hornbricker Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 My experience is that some will and some wont waive the minimum. I agree with Green Hair on the shipping I hate that. I am waiting for PAB parts for the Capstan Inn right now (hopefully nearly completed) and so I unexpectedly started building the St. Elizabeth Parish Church last night and I had to order bricks today on BL from like 6 different vendors...stupid shipping costs!
posades Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Usually they are pretty lenient about it; I just don't think they want to waste money on postage and packaging for 1 or 2 parts. I was off by about a dollar from one store and they gladly let me order anyways. However, some have insanely high minimum buys ($100?!) and they didn't want my $7 order for some reason.
Captain Genaro Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Most of the minimum purchase fees are very reasonable and only about $10 max. Also one reason that they have this is to help cover PayPal fees and stuff like that.
CP5670 Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Yeah, I've never found the minimum order limit to be an issue. You usually want to buy at least $10 worth of stuff anyway to make the shipping cost worthwhile. Lot limits, on the other hand, can be more annoying.
