Navy Trooper Fenson Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 (edited) S@H just released two new procucts in the Spongebob theme: Magnetset: http://shop.lego.com/Product/Default.aspx?p=852713 And a new Squidward keychain: http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=852714 The magnetset is perfect for me, because I don´t want to spend 50 bucks on the new pineapple just for the new squidward. P.S. No "Spongebob 2009" topic was found. Edited June 24, 2009 by Navy Trooper Fenson Quote
RichardAM Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Shame there's no Sandy fig in it- this could've been an easier way of getting bubble helmets. Quote
Luke McAwesome Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Shame there's no Sandy fig in it- this could've been an easier way of getting bubble helmets. This doesn't suffice? Quote
The Brick Rat Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 (edited) There is also a magnet set with SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy in their spacesuits (including Sandy's bubble helmet). Edit: Striker beat me to it. Edited June 24, 2009 by The Brick Rat Quote
Justin Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 The magnetset is perfect for me, because I don´t want to spend 50 bucks on the new pineapple just for the new squidward. Yeah. Only die-hard SpongeBob fans, and people looking for lots of orange pieces would want that set. This set of magnets is the only way to get the brand new Squidward cheap, unless you can find 3834 on clearance a few months later. All in all, the LEGO SpongeBob theme was great. The first wave had a bland pineapple, great Krusty Krab, the second wave had the Boating School, Chum Bucket, the third had Sandy's Rocket, and the Bus, the third had a less-than-robust Krusty Krab, and Pineapple. I agree with what you are saying. If you want just the minifigs, get these magnet sets. Quote
Oky Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Finally a cheap way of getting the normal SB & Patrick and the new Squidward! Plus Gary! I'm 80% sure I'll get this magnet set! i want those magnets for gary Gary rulez! Lol. I wonder if the other side of his shell is included. It would be stupid if it wasn't. Quote
prateek Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Gary rulez! Lol. I wonder if the other side of his shell is included. It would be stupid if it wasn't. i know, it would be pretty stupid Quote
ILikePi Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I like how this set has four minifigures instead of three (Gary counts as one, since things like mouse droids do). I might not pick up this magnet set, but it does look pretty good. I just don't like how Gary has no eye printing on the cherries piece... Quote
Bartram Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Hm. Looks like pretty good magnets. Is it possible to rip the minifigures off and then using them normally without any damage? Quote
Natman8000 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Hm. Looks like pretty good magnets. Is it possible to rip the minifigures off and then using them normally without any damage? They aren't even attached. They are normal figs, but with magnet bricks included. The magnets aren't attached to the fig at all. Quote
daxflame680 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Hopefully this won't have that cheap plastic used in those other magnet sets If not, I might get this. There's no such thing as having too many Squidwards! Yeah. Only die-hard SpongeBob fans, and people looking for lots of orange pieces would want that set. Well, I'm a die-hard SpongeBob fan, and I'm looking for some orange pieces, so I was hoping to get it. Maybe I'll army build some Squidwards Gary rulez! Lol. GARY IS DA BEAST Quote
Luke McAwesome Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Well then, i'm an idiot. No you're not. This is a nice magnet set and all, but I've only ever bought one SpongeBob set, and I built it and destroyed it five days later. So this doesn't really interest me... Quote
