SlyOwl Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Loosely based on (starts at 1:10) from Die Welle. All purist, apart from Tim's face, and the SlyOwl graffiti... It was scary how similar Tim and Hinck look in minifig form... Trolley inspired by Michael Jasper Quote
Natman8000 Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 What a great moc, full of masterful techniques. The bill board is from the rock raider minifig cards, right? Truly excellent. Quote
Spyder Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 (edited) Very nice! So many little details, I love them all! Especially that drainage grate , and the graffiti is spectacular. You truly did an amazing job on this! EDIT: I just noticed you used a pirates hat to make the bag in the garbage can. Great technique! Edited June 23, 2009 by Spyder Quote
BlueBard Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Amazing urban scenery, SlyOwl! Love all the little details and the wonderful way you did the graffitis and the sewer Hope we'll see more of your MOCs in this forum Quote
cole Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Wow, that is increadably detailed, SlyOwl. The grafiti looks well done, same with the drain, but my favorite thing would have to be the telephone wires. Adding the stickers was a good idea too, the only thing a can find I don't like is the mowhawk, but that's small. Quote
Sir Dillon Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Fantastic scene. You've really captured the gritty spirit of the street. I find the billboard and the graffiti particularly neat, and the angles of the street are impressive. Quote
streifen Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 (edited) Great MOC! I noticed u have managed to insert ur nick onto the side of the railway track above! Edited June 24, 2009 by streifen Quote
Guss Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 really really cool, I like everything on it, so I'll not start to say " I like this part " XD Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Amazing job Sly, the graffiti is is perfectly executed! Though you say it is all purist i would like to ask where the peace sign comes from, i assume it is a decoreated round tile or a sticker? And the fence behind the billboard, couldn't make that one out either, i guess it is TLC string? Again Quote
SlyOwl Posted June 25, 2009 Author Posted June 25, 2009 Thanks all! The bill board is from the rock raider minifig cards, right? Truly excellent. Nope, the sticker sheet from the Advanced Lego Club Member Pack, 1999. Hope we'll see more of your MOCs in this forum Hehe, I might have something coming up Though you say it is all purist i would like to ask where the peace sign comes from, i assume it is a decoreated round tile or a sticker? And the fence behind the billboard, couldn't make that one out either, i guess it is TLC string? The peace sign is string over and around a 2x2 round tile, inserted between two 1x4 arches The string came with my BSB off eBay, although it seems thinner than my other thin Lego string, so it might just be normal sewing thread... stupid eBay I experimented with nets, but they were too bulky. Teddy Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 (edited) I love it all. Especially the guy with the cap on his hair piece. You're one of my favourite builders. Edited July 1, 2009 by Teddy Quote
