Lego_Warlord_8 Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Yes, it was pretty pathetic. I think the price is outrageously high, and the selection is very limited. And there where people actually buying it! I wanted to tell them they where getting ripped off. The Lego group had a good idea, but it really needs to be tweaked. ~LW 8~ Here's a picture of the Valley Fair one: Those holes you see on the bottom left corner are the holes where the parts are. The words up there say "Hat or hair + 1 Accessory + (head) + (torso) + (legs and hips) = (minifig)" and "each minifigure consists of 5 elements". So you go to Vally fair's Lego store? Do you live in San Jose? Quote
HumanPackMule Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 My closest Lego store used to have a make-your-own-minifig, but they only had minifig parts from the basketball and racers lines, which hardly fit my taste. The last time I went there it was gone. Quote
user Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Sometimes I wish Lego would make "Mystery boxes" for bricks and minifigs where they get a bunch of extra pieces from other sets and minifigures and but them in a box and sell them it would be different every time and it occasionally you could get some rare minifigs or printed pieces. sologuy369 Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 (edited) I've seen a minifigure "station" in the downtown Disney Lego store for awhile(2-4 years?). Edited July 11, 2009 by sologuy369 Quote
mediaprobe Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 (edited) £6.17 for 3? 3.75 at my local LS... The bins are random, and go fairly deep A bit off topic, but a weird lad in the bin found a castle jester hat, and thought it was harley quinns. He was old enough to coulor diffrences, and that offended a past castle fan. Edited July 12, 2009 by mediaprobe Quote
Zarkan Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 I am most definitely not paying 10 dollars for three minifigs made out of parts that are commonly availible in a wide variety of inexpensive sets - especially since the Pick a Brick wall gives you such a better value. Quote

I completely agree, these not a good value at all. I was at the Tyson's Corner store in VA on Sunday, and I didn't see anything that wasn't on the S@H PaB, where you can build a minifig with headgear and acessory for as little as $1.41! Even with expensive, two-part headgear, and a more expensive accesory, you still won't go over $2. Not to mention that $10 is more than a small PaB cup!! The only way this would be remotely worth it is if they started throwing in lots of rare torsos, heads, accesories, etc. Quote
