Guss Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Hello ! I'm actually building a Post Apoc Diorama for an exhibition, it'll be a diorama build by 3 different people, 2 Freelug's members and me. so this is my part of the diorama, I'm trying to improve it a little actually so if you have some Ideas, just say ! Anyway, here it is: (oh sorry, my white background is not large enough to put the diorama on it ) The bridge is my favourite part , took me a while to make it stand correctly : In a post apoc world, you rebuild your house with what you find : An electric fence to protect a garden, useful against zombis : A view from below, very messy isn't it ? : Here are the part of the diorama disassembled in 11 parts because I'll have to move it a lot... : the complete gallery is : here with all the pictures, and here on flickr with less pictures. Notice that I prefer snot roads, to be able to make it broken. but I didn't have the bricks to do it, plus I needed it to match the others freelug's members modules. There surely will be more minifigs on it, and some things on the road like rats or other details, but I'll put these at the exhibition. I'll post here a view of the complete diorama with the Freelug's members, and if you have some Idea to improve mine, just tell, I can do it! Thanks for watching Quote
Natman8000 Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 WOW! that looks great! I think you put alot of work into this, and I love all the styles of building you incorporated. So nice job. Quote
General Armendariz Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Very nice Dio I love post apoc MOC's. You should probably add some house burning or something like that Quote
ILikePi Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Wow, nice work, Guss! This MOC is very detailed and huge! My favorite part is probably the pool of water and the vegetable patch. Quote
the Inventor Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Huge Post Apoc moc. I love that bridge, and a nice garden. Maybe you should add more bullet holes and/or fire to the house. the Inventor Quote
Section8 Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 I think it looks fine the way it's photographed. It's just a busy scene. I like it, especially the bridge, it does look like it was mangled in an attack. I would like to see more pictures of the larger ruined house. And the use of the wizard hat to resemble pouring water is the most inspired thing I've seen in a while! Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 It's huge! The busted up elevated roadway is my favorite part but the whole thing is just amazing. You have put so much detail into this display...it is fantastic! Quote
Guss Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 thanks a lot natman8000 thanks General Armendariz, add a house burning is a good Idea, but where do you think I can add it ? there's not a lot of space left ^^ thank you ILikePi I love this little area too, looks like a peaceful place in the middle of a war. thanks the Inventor I think you're right, I'm surely going to put some stickers of the 7709 on the walls ( some of this sticker sheet : http://www.bricklink.com/PL/7709stk01.jpg thanks Section8 , I'll take more pics of the house if you want me to, and for the wizard hat, it's a technique I saw long time ago and I often use it in my mocs! thanks a lot Commodore Hornbricker ^^ thanks Phillip10 , you know, there's not a lot of parts in it, it looks " full " but's it's very empty, when you look at the modules separately , they're simple ^^ Quote
Perterz Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 (edited) Damn that's incredibly intresting to look at! I love it even more when I saw it were all seperate modules, all of them look like how they're supposed to look. I'll probably spend some of my future lifetime just looking at your MOC, very inspiring to say the least! Edited June 23, 2009 by Perterz Quote
Sir Dillon Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Very cool diorama with lots of nice details! I particularly like the overpass and the ramshackle building with the troll flag. Quote
Bartram Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Awesome diorama! The bridge is truly amazing. Great work. Quote

I'll probably spend some of my future lifetime just looking at your MOC, very inspiring to say the least! Wow ! what a kind comment , thanks a lot Peterz ^^ I'm glad you like it! Thanks Sir Dillon ,the "ramshackle building" ( I don't know what it means, and my translator had difficulty with it XD ) just keep falling, and I'll have to do 700km with it in a car... I'm afraid XD thanks a lot Bartram ^^ I put some pictures of details on Flickr and my website. like the vehicles here: ( click the image ) a little picture of the scorpion : and I'll put a nice picture of the worm today or tomorrow ( depends of the sun ) Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Doesn't look very good photographed....are you kidding me? The overall layout and used colors are great, so are all the small details. The truck you made looks like it came straight out of a Mad Max movie, what's not too like? And it's still WIP.... Quote
I Scream Clone Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Loads of awesome buildings and vehicles Guss! Just beautiful. If I may offer some tips it would be to make the base and supports that hold the water tower thicker, as the top looks too big for the base. I think the wyrm/tentacle thing in the road would look much fiercer if it were in multiples attacking people in various stages of combat. Kind of like a Hydra Quote
kris kelvin Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 (edited) I don`t like this - rock (?). It doesn`t fit in this urban scenery. So for me this is part to remove/improve And generally it is fantastic diorama. Very climatic Edited June 24, 2009 by kris kelvin Quote
TenorPenny Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Thanks for separating up the little scenes and vehicles into close ups for us. Very impressive, thoughtful and thought-provoking all at once! Quote
Guss Posted June 24, 2009 Author Posted June 24, 2009 thanks a lot Captain Green Hair ^^ Doesn't look very good photographed....are you kidding me? default_huh.gif I just think it looks way better in real^^ that's not true for all my creation, but that's more than true for this one! And it's still WIP.... Yes, but sadly I'll not have the time to modify a lot of things, I'll surely just add 1 or 2 car wreck and some minifigs, I don't have enough time to make it better. thanks for the tip and for your kind words I scream clone ^^ If I may offer some tips it would be to make the base and supports that hold the water tower thicker, as the top looks too big for the base. mhh that's something I can modify a little , I'll surely try to ! I think the wyrm/tentacle thing in the road would look much fiercer if it were in multiples attacking people in various stages of combat. Kind of like a Hydra It's just a worm^^ Your Idea is cool but I think I don't have enough pieces for it :/ Thanks Kris Kelvin ! I don`t like this - rock (?).It doesn`t fit in this urban scenery. you mean the cliff at the back ? you don't like my cliff , but I like it! maybe I'll try to make it "smoother" but I'm far to have enough pieces for it, first I wanted to do something "slyowl styled" but I quickly realized that I'll never have enough part to do it, so I just stacked burp... and finally I like it, and anyway I don't have enough time to heavily modify it or replace it by something else. Thanks TenorPenny , as it's "easily" separable , I thought it would be nice to photography each part^^ Quote
