Zorro Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Vig. 82d My latest MOC I was inspired by Kris Kelvin's ship, and thought that the technique could be used to make the side of a ship. The smoke idea came from Darkspawn. Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Nice MOC But you forgot the thing to shut the cannonhole with. I like the rat on the bottom and also the lantern, small but great details And ofcourse the gunblast is also nice but that's (like you said) a stolen idea. Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Amazing job Zorro! The curve in the hull is outstanding! I can't think of any feedback to give you, this is good enough as it is. Thanks for sharing mate. Quote
WhiteFang Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Nice moc. I love the smoke screen design, and the hull. So much details in this vig. Great job. Quote
BlueBard Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Little vig but so great! And the Darkspawn's smoke technique is really wonderful Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Down with the Republic! Monarchy, ON! Nice vig, I like what you've done with the hull. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 That's a nice little vig you made there Z, especially the curved ship wall is a nice touch! Only thing that looks misplaced here is the trans green lantern and the cannon might have looked nicer with some brown wheels. Keep it up buddy! Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 I love it! The tumblehome is great and the interior is cramped, yet very detailed for such a small place. I agree with YnyklY it would be a nice touch to add a gunport. A black stripe on the hull would also be nice. But in my eyes it is a very nice vignette. Keep it up Zorro! Quote
Guss Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 a very very cool vignette, and well photographied, the first picture is just ACE ! the only thing I regret is the lantern, I think that a Yellow one would be better than this "space yellowthing" , but apart from this, this is a really really cool vignette zorro ^^ Quote
Dr. Steve Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Great Work, I really like the custom hull...looks very realistic! Quote
Ratshot Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 You sure have been sharing a lot of great stuff with us lately. A good MOC for such a tiny space Cheers. Quote
RocketSeason Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Every Pirate Diorama needs a rat. Great stuff! Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 That's a great scene. Very well executed. As soon as I saw it I new you had used that coll technic from that sail design. Awsome use of a great technic. Very cool. Quote
Lego_Warlord_8 Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 this looks AWESOME! but how did you do that curve in the hull? ~LW 8~ Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Check out this topic in the Castle forum Hanseatic Town by Kris Kelvin Quote
Scouty Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Now, why fire at Will? What did Will ever do to you??? Sweet vignette. The hull is great. Quote
Teddy Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 (edited) Now, why fire at Will? What did Will ever do to you??? Sweet vignette. The hull is great. Nice little vignette Zorro! You're really churning out MOCs these days. I have seen a comparable planking technique before, but not with tiles though. Zorro Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 That's a nice little vig you made there Z, especially the curved ship wall is a nice touch! Only thing that looks misplaced here is the trans green lantern and the cannon might have looked nicer with some brown wheels. Keep it up buddy! I didn't really think about the green lantern. The cannon's wheels were brown, but then there was too much brown in there, so I changed them to grey. Quote
Admiral M Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 which one's Will? Nice job with the smoke, it is extremely hard to do that kind of stuff with lego. I really like the planking you did. Quote
commander Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 nice smoke effect! it is small, but detailed very well! Quote
