I was in my local Toys R Us the other day and I noticed they had restocked Exo Force sets on one of the shelves. I didn't catch the exact sets, but from what I could tell they were 3 different ones all priced at $20. I remember going in a month or two ago and there not being any Exo Force sets there, so it seemed a bit strange to me.

Looks like the last set released was from 2007. Is this just my TRU finding a long lost box and clearing out inventory?

I saw some old shelf worn big Exoforce sets at TRU in the UK too. Seems Lego or TRU found a forgotten ile in their storage.

I don't think they are reissuing Exoforce.

Thanks for the move WhiteFang.

Yeah I was pretty sure TLG wasn't going to start producing Exo Force again, I just thought maybe they were shipping out some of the sets they had left over from the series to stores again.

Yup, probably found a box in their warehouse. Wait a month and it'll probably be gone.

True, although my TRU has had the 8108 Mobile Devastator (the one with big lime green wheels) on "clearance" for $60 since before Christmas. Not a big mover ...

I noticed that the last time I was at TRU, they had several of the Exo-Force sets in their clearance area that had come out of the back. I bought up the ones that I didn't have - for about a third their original price. :)

It always seems that the sets with nice parts will move much more quickly. I think people are turned off by the giant green wheels. But now that they appear to be in use again with the upcoming Power Miner Mining Station set, they might disappear quickly. There were a few sets that started to show up near me too, along with some long forgotten Mars Mission stuff that seemed to make a reappearance too.

I think that TLG had a warehouse full of unsold Exo-Force sets, and has been trying to clear them out. At the Brickworld combo build challenge this year, the three sets were the three $20 Exo-Force sets from the final wave. They also had some in the various raffles, along with some of the larger ones.

FWIW, Toys R Us in the US is having an extra 20% off clearance sale through mid July. I went back and got the last Mobile Devastator for $48 (not a great deal, but it was a last hurrah for Exo Force for me).
