By then the SW movie franchise will be OLD and less popular and not too profitable... It's 2011. But with the live-action TV series in 2008, I'm sure Star Wars will be around a while yet... Quote
Ras 74 Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Great find! Great sets! I think I like all the sets exept for Grevious... thing. I Quote

They haven't made this one yet, to my knowledge (which is extensive ;-) ) i meant the imperial shuttle http://brickset.com/search.aspx?Set=7166-1 Quote
snefroe Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 gotta have atst and y-wing! minifig packs i don't care imperial transport doesn't look any good, but then i wasn't expecting a lot gc looks exactly as I was not hoping for, it's a minimalist version of what it should have been don't we have the prices for the things somewhere? Quote
DoubleT Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Great find *y* Somehow i thin this is not the final sets.. but they look good Ill ofcause get more them 1 of the minifigs pacs, gotta love 3 Super droids in such a set... The Landing craft? hmmmm I dont know about Grevious, but the AT- ST is fine by me.. Quote
HJR-Holland Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 I'm really not imprezzed, and that's a first; it all looks too <insert that tiresome argument>, too simple, and really only serve as excellent parts packs. Especially the Imperial Landing Craft, albeit it's tough to build due to it's insane proportions, could have been made MUCH better IMHO. I truly hope the 2nd halve of 2007 will be better... *wacko* Quote
DoubleT Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 As i said before, i dont think this is the final pics, so lets wait and see Quote

KimT Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 The AT-ST and Y-Wing look awesome. I am SO getting these sets and at least 5 of the set with the Clone Troopers *wub* *wub* KimT Quote
DoubleT Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Ras.... Well the pics have the the feling..... Details missing (Stickers etc. maybe even paint job on figs) I might be wrong, but for me they seem very simular to all the other pics of that kind i have seen... Things on the pics, and a feeling makes me think so... Could be Wrong Quote
oo7 Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Yes, finnaly some pics, thanks BryanKinkle! I'm lovin' the AT-ST, a hundred times better than the old one, and the clone battle pack and the new guns! I think the ILC looks ugly in both non-lego and lego vertions but it has some nice parts and minifigs. If I could I would give TLC a big pat on the back, Not only are their sets getting better but their building techniques are evolving too! I didn't think they could be smart enough to do something like use the big white mudgard on the clone turret and the small dark bley mudguards on the AT-ST. THAT AT-ST PILOT IS AMAZING!!!! Quote
Zarkan Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 My my my, I think my budget is offically ruined. X-D But, man, this is awesome! The landing craft looks great, a lot better than I expected! The minifig packs are awesome (silver super droids, light red clones! *wub* ) and the Y wing looks like a solid remake! Best of all is the at-st, with an awesome imperial pilot and a super cool new design! Of course, for ever year, theres always at least one let down, and MY personal ship is it! >:-( I mean, it's a piece of crud that doesn't look like my ship at all! Darn you, TLC! You ruined it! :-| Overall though, Great Job, TLC! I anticipate 2007 even more now! ;-) Quote
gusmoore17 Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 What the megablock is this??? Griveous' ship really sucks, it's just like a bad design of the Batwing!!! Then, the Imperial Landing thing is not esthetic, it's like the sets designed in the 90's for Star Wars (we have to admit it, the re-released versions of must sets are far better than the original ones) The weapons are good, and of course I really liked the Droids' and Clones' sets, they are gonna be really useful. But as many of you have pointed out, not impressed at all Quote
mutley777 Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 oh my god! i am in love with that AT-ST *wub* everything is great! need money, lots of money! Quote
oo7 Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Hmm, on closer inspection grevious and the clones look like they have the same guns and the droids in the carrier thing have megaphones with the trans-orange roung plates. BTW, I think the Grevious ship has almost perfect proportions except mabe the back is a bit to narrow, but I'll need better Pics to trully tell. I think the colors are spot on too, either it's ok now it it should have a little less tan. Quote
Andrex Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 OMG! BATTLE SETS ARE GORGEOUS! And Grievous' ship! I love the AT-ST pilot and the Y-Wing looks stunning. Oh my, GIVE ME NOW! :D I'm so buying these! I really want Rebel and Imperial battle sets now ^^. As for your comments on Grievous' ship, I like it, although it is a little... slim and weird ^^. The Landing Craft is funky, I love it, along with all the other OT sets :D. I'm also loving the new figs! Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 I'm not too impressed. I'll have to wait for picture reviews to decide whether I'll get all of them, although the Battle Packs and the AT-ST are already on my list. I'm dissapointed by Grevioud' fighter though. I'd expected more of that. Oh, and I plain love the new At-St design! Quote
The Executive Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 All of these sets look excellent and the new guns are well worth it. But i cant help but feel lego really dropped the ball on the grievous fighter with no bodyguards or obiwan. Quote
Andrex Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Yah, the Grievous Starship had potential, it's kewl but could have been better. I do however love the Landing Craft, Y-Wing and AT-ST! And I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm really looking forward to the PT Battle Packs too! They look stunning! Quote
Deinonychus Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 I can apreciate what they did with the landing craft...shrunk it down a little to keep it within a reasonable price point. If that sucker was to scale it'd be freaking huge so I can forgive them ;-) the other sets look pretty damn cool to me...especially that Y-Wing...when I browsed these pics elsewhere first they were lumped in with older SW sets and I thought the Y-Wing was the UCS version and just glossed over it...now that's saying something Quote

SuvieD Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Love the droid pack. I will probably get a few of those and pass on everything else. I mean Exo force, aquasharks and other themes are more interesting to me anyway. Quote

The never ending rant of AFOLS on flesh MFs :-D I love those fleshies *wub* Its good to like them since TLC shifted for those (like bley, redbrown and what have you !!) That fleshie comment made me realize something: remember the first pic of the Sail Barge ? The figs were yellow and it turned out to be a preliminary pic ;-) *yoda* Quote
