Castles and buildings similiar to the mid-80s style. Modular, detailed, and not overly simplistic elements.

Castle items focused more on historic options like accurate siege machines

Castle parts packs - castle walls, turrets, grey bricks, grey steep slopes, black roof sections.

Just a huge set of medieval knights with infantry, pikemen, horses, and catapults.

focus more on the medieval town. several of the offerred castles have large opennings in the walls (windows?) instead of classic small castle windows

all new PIRATE system themed sets to compliment the older pirates. LEGEND the imperial trading post!

Pirates vs. Good Guys

We love the container ship. More industrial ships.

Pirate ships

Space

I agree with ALL the other suggestions I see here, but I'd love to see tie-ins with other Sci-fi themes. Lego Stargate, Lego Battlestar Galactica, Lego Matrix, Lego Firefly! Good shows with good tech should all go Lego!

classic space sets like 442,452, 487, 6702, 6701,886 = please bring back classic space :) smaller sets with mini figures, at least one per set I always enjoy the smaller sets that you could use together

ALIEN BASE

Harry Potter Quidditch field or Harry Potter In The Preficts Bath

Yeah. If there is no commonality among what people want, and they want crazy stuff (Disney princess??), then it's all just static.

Sigh (wishes for 5000 piece castle in 1980's King's Castle style)

Somehow people want strange things...below an edited, abbreviated list as my personal commentary.

Ancient Civilizations

Historically accurate French Revolution ->"Ancient"? What's ancient about the french revolution!? I lol at the mere thought of blood drenched LEGO guillotines...

Mythology. Great stories, even better characters. HerAKLES, ZEUS, KERBEROS....(fixed)

Highly detailed, high-piece count models of the Seven Wonders of the World (probably not a big seller...) ->exactly! Though those might be a great opportunity for LEGO designers to show off their architectural skills through antiquity-based buildings, they'd be shelf-warmers for the usual crowd. I'd buy them in multiples ^^

Roman type buildings with pillars and fountians horses and chariots. -> too much to screw up!

less empasis on fighting, more on culture, archetecture and the arts -> too less play-value...  I can't imagine a person, apart from myself, seriously craving a "Philosopher on the agora/forum" set...

Swiss type moutain village buildings -> WTF?!

Ancient Greece - Trojan war, Oracle at Delphi, The Odyssey -> the odysseia isn't "Ancient Greece"...it's an ancient greek epos...and thereby falls under mythology. I say Battle of Marathon, Sea-battle of Salamis, Spartans vs. Persians at Thermopylae, The Akropolis of Athens, Spartan Village, Pella (that's in Makedonia, where Alexandros the great comes from), Alexander in Babylon or Egypt or India...endless possibilities

World War II sets -> NO period.

Pirate

Battleship BismarCk ->in minifig or UCS scale?

More Viking and Pirare related sets - coastal forts, deserted islands, etc -> agreed concerning Vikings

PIRATE SHIP SCULPTURES -> nice parts supplies

Space

I agree with ALL the other suggestions I see here, but I'd love to see tie-ins with other Sci-fi themes. Lego Stargate, Lego Battlestar Galactica, Lego Matrix, Lego Firefly! Good shows with good tech should all go Lego! -> no more licences...

ALIEN BASE -> only if H.R.Giger sculpts the aliens!

LEGO Gundam series -> friggin' Exo-Dorks

Futuristic spaceships that contain innovative uses of existing pieces and colors -> what a modest wishing!

Apollo moon mission set with Saturn V, Lunar Module, etc. -> why not?

Buck Rogers -> mmmh, that directorate fighter does sound mouthwatering...

  space center -> umm, yeah...?!

Imaginary/Comic Heroes

Disney type Princesses -> Super Arielle to the rescue!

Cartoon Network's Code Name Kids Next Door (Ships,Treehouses) -> no

Quidditch World Cup (HP IV) -> YES!!!

I think you should make some Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Brothers Legos -> somehow I wanted sets like that as a child...why not, I would buy them!

  Hulk -> no

  Dollhouse -> scala, belleville?

spongebob and his friends and bikini bottom scenery ->hihi

Harry Potter Quidditch field or Harry Potter In The Preficts Bath -> Quidditch GO, nude Potter NO

The list is randomely generated from an existing list plus what others add. You then have to rank up to five sets. Not sure how Lego compiles the results with everyone ranking different sets. I'm guessing that the probability of a certain set/theme popping up is the same (somehow on a cycle).

In trying the survey again, I only saw a few of the same choices per theme. With the ranking though, I think that Lego is trying to get an idea of the high demanded themes and sets. Those sets added by others (some of the silly ones) may not be as high on the list (like the Disney princess set/theme).

It sound like Lego is trying to get our input, and that's good.

yeah... i guess they will be looking for the general lines, still, good luck to the people who are going to analyse all this information!

i think they will find at least two major requests:

1) army building historical theme, like "Rome"

2) based on the popularity of the old Pirate sets, a new Pirate theme

LEGO surveys drive me crazy. The choices they give you are often times awful and after you answer they show you the top answers which were all 10x better than those you could pick. *wacko*

I wish LEGO would do a better survey with more definite answers and have it encompass everything. Then send it out yearly, analyze the trends and make sets that would practically fly off the shelves.

My experience with them is that they tend to crash... like I'll get right up to the end, but have no way of exiting the survey... usually meaning I get redirected BACK to the first page of questions.

The last time I did it, I went through the same survey 5 times only to have me leaving the site not knowing if any of it'd gone through.

Citing that the Trojan war is generally accepted to have happened in some form or fashion, as well as even critiqued for lack of proper supplies and proper planning by Thucydides in The History of the Peloponnesian War, its not too much of a stretch to state that some sort of Trojan War happened historically.

Which is to say, the Trojan War as a theme could be either, and as TLG seems to like fantastic elements, its a decent bet this would be a theme they might look at if were were to get a Greek theme.

Of course, I'd kill for a Chian siege set, but I know I'm pretty much the only one.
