Emperor Claudius Rome Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 This is a topic were people can talk about deadliest warrior For those who live countrys that don't have spike, I'll explain. In the show, they take two of histrorys greatest warriors (Ie, pirate vs knight) And use 21st centtury technology to test out each warriors weapons. And they then put the stats in an outcome genertor, and the warrior that win the most battles (They put it in 1000 times so it wouldn't be one with one lucky blow) and the winner is "The Deadliest warrior" Quote
SWMAN Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 This is really a great show. While they do make a big deal out of all the science and math involved, I really love the whole idea and overall execution of the show. Quote
prateek Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 (edited) its a cool show, but ive only seen it once for the past 2 weekends, there were marathons, and i missed them both Edited June 9, 2009 by prateek Quote
Tom Bricks Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 I have seen this show a couple of times and I really like it. My favorite episode is the russians vs. americans one. It manages to be interesting while still involving allot of math. Quote
ProducePrincess Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 I've seen the show a few times and i thought it was just okay . The part where they actually have the warriours fight i like though but the rest can be rather boring. Quote
Batbrick Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Sounds neat, but we all know the answer: Ninjas On a more serious note, the show is kind of redundant anyway isn't it? I mean, it's only a few years away until the Robot Nazi Ninja Dinosaur Pirates invade Batbrick Away! Quote
Ricecracker Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 I've watched all the episodes, but I wouldn't consider it "scientific" by any measure. Sure, they use sensors and high-tech computer programs, but they do different tests for competing weapons, do not test all of the "warriors" weapons, do not find an average for the force used with a weapon, and make guesses as to which weapons are more "deadly". That said, I do like the show, mainly just to see the different weapons that the warriors had, as well as how they were used. I also made a vig a month or so ago from the Samurai/Viking one which can be found here. Quote
Emperor Claudius Rome Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 Sounds neat, but we all know the answer: Ninjas You'll be suprised, the ninja lost to the spartan Quote
Batbrick Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 You'll be suprised, the ninja lost to the spartan Yeah but I'm talking about the Universal Ninja, which, like the Universal Dinosaur, is the incarnation of how awesome everyone thinks they are. Can a T-Rex run faster than a jeep or a Ninja run through a parade unseen? No. But a Universal Dinosaur and Universal Ninja can Batbrick Away! Quote
SWMAN Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Yeah but I'm talking about the Universal Ninja, which, like the Universal Dinosaur, is the incarnation of how awesome everyone thinks they are. Can a T-Rex run faster than a jeep or a Ninja run through a parade unseen? No. But a Universal Dinosaur and Universal Ninja can Batbrick Away! But they don't test the hollywood versions. They test the actual warriors and their weapons. Two major gripes I have are the fact that they don't take training and skill into account, and the doctor is a total fraud. If a person has half their skull cut/shot off, I can tell you that they are dead. Still, it is a great show. Quote
Corvus Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 But they don't test the hollywood versions. They test the actual warriors and their weapons. Two major gripes I have are the fact that they don't take training and skill into account, and the doctor is a total fraud. If a person has half their skull cut/shot off, I can tell you that they are dead. Still, it is a great show. True- Skill and training are completely impossible to download into a program. We also don't know how 'expert' the experts in the weapons they're testing are. It's made even worse when trying to compare two individuals. Still, I think it's an interesting show, if not very scientific. My favorite part is simply seeing the weapons they're testing in action. I've only seen two episodes (Maori vs. Monk), (William Wallace vs. Shaka Zulu) but I liked it. My favorite part was when they were testing the Claymore- pretty scary! Quote
Batbrick Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 But they don't test the hollywood versions. My humour has obviously evaded you. Perhaps it used it's Universal Ninja skills? Batbrick Away! Quote
Dane of War Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 I expected very little from the show, but gave it a try. Love it! If I would add anything, it'd be a season finale with all of the season's winners taking each other on to decide who is the deadliest warrior. Quote
lego fox Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 I agree with all stated. But It would be a litel time consomeing to test every wepen anuf times to get an averig powar frome each. pluse the moldes thay are very exspensiv and xseedingly hard and pragmatic to make. Pluse ther is tha chans that thay are dooing the rest of the tests off camra. as for a seeson funnally it would be grate to see a compitishen to see wich of them were THE DEADLIEST WARRIOR!!!! And sadily yess the Ninja was not just defeeted by the Sparten He was demolished. The only wepon that was even remotley usfull was the Black Eggs do to the facked that it was the only one the Ninja was abel to get past the spartens armer, but onley to a negligabel affect. As for people having trubel caching the show I've been ceching reruns on sunday afternoons becouse I werk evnings. And what is a Universal Ninja eneay way. Quote

I am not sure if you don't have very good English or are too lazy, but here on Eurobricks we try to maintain proper grammar and spelling. We are completely understanding of people who don't speak very good English, but if you are simply too lazy then it will not be tolerated. Quote
Emperor Claudius Rome Posted July 21, 2009 Author Posted July 21, 2009 I might just be reviving a dead topic, but a second season has been signed for spring, 2010 Quote
HumanPackMule Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 I watched a couple episodes this afternoon after reading this topic. I was very impressed and I look forward to watching the rest of the series. I honestly think the Viking should have won though. Quote
Commander Flash Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Very good. I am going to find a deadliest warrior marathon on someday. Remember, they input each variable, and who wins the most wins. Quote
HumanPackMule Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Very good. I am going to find a deadliest warrior marathon on someday. Remember, they input each variable, and who wins the most wins. You just need to google the show and go to the SpikeTV website. They have all the episodes there to watch for free with minimal commercial interruptions. Quote
