RoflWafls Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 (edited) Do you think Lego might decide to make some sets about the new video game Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings? They did for The Force Unleashed so whats stopping them? Since the game hasn't been realeased just yet (It's coming out for the U.S. soon). From the videos and screenshots I've seen, I think a good set idea would be a trolly car and mayby an enemy car. (As seen in this screenshot) Edited June 7, 2009 by RoflWafls Quote

Darth Legolas Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Some cool staff of kings sets for 20101. Elephant chase 2. nightclub, lao che cocktails 3. Panama temple 4. trolly chase If ADH015 gets a title for Star Wars specialist, how come they don't give you and Indy Specialist title? I think this would be a good way to put out a couple of sets, I'd love to see them! Quote

Clone OPatra Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I don't really think LEGO will make any Indy sets based on a videogame. There is still much untapped potential from just the four movies, whereas with Star Wars LEGO had already decided to start making some EU sets when they made the one Force Unleashed set. Since they did only ever make the one set based on a Star Wars videogame, perhaps they decided that it was a little too obscure to make sets from. I doubt Indiana Jones will last enough years for LEGO to try something other than sets that relate directly to the movies. Quote
Oky Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 (edited) Well, I guess it's possible, and I can see the possibilities, but I don't think it'll happen. The only set based on a videogame that TLC ever released was the Rogue Shadow, and that was only because TFU was a big "multimedia project". Staff of Kings is not; it's just another Lucas Arts game and is not even available for the next-gen consoles. So it's quite doubtful there will be any sets from it. Besides, I have a feeling that the Indy license is coming to an end, but maybe that's just me. But I agree that legoindy01 should get an "Indy Expert" title. legoindy01 Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 (edited) oh my, I'm flattered DARTLEGOLAS, what exactly do you mean by "this would be a great way to put out a couple of sets"? Edited June 8, 2009 by legoindy01 Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Well, if they can find a market for SW sets that are based off the new game and TV series, I say why the heck not? Quote
alex12 Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 I don't know anything about the game but if the sets involve temples ,treasure , bad guys and high maintenance women i'll buy the lot. Quote

Well first I was talking about you being an Indy Jones genius, and then I was saying how I'd love to see Staff of Kings sets. Quote

I was just going to write to LEGO about having LEGO Pirates in 2010 and re-releasing old Pirate sets, so now, do you want me to incorporate this idea in the letter? I will make sure to say that you, a Eurobrick member, came up with the idea of Staff of Kings sets! Quote
Dadster Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 This would be a great idea IMO. I've only seen the commercials (Is the game out?), but what would make the sets unique? Elephant Chase sounds cool - think TLC would break out the molds for elephants? Quote

WookieeWarrior Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Well, I have no idea how the story of the game played out, but the screenshots did look interesting. I bought the game the day it came out, played it for a little while, and came to the conclusion that the game is horrible. Too bad they cancelled the novelization and didn't make a comic. For better or worse, I really don't see them making any sets from the game. Quote

Oky Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 (edited) In addition to what I said before, I also hear that this game isn't very good. In fact, GameInformer gave it a pretty poor rating. So yeah... Not gonna happen. Edited June 27, 2009 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
gondortoast Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 ive only got a p o s playstation 2 so i wont be getting the game but these sound like good ideas Quote

Bartram Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 Mmm... don't think so. Not unless it's a real hit and very popular game. Quote
Mixwizzard The Terrible Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 The game was a failure.Shame it didnt come to 360 and PS3. The only reason it got a decent score was because it had Fate Of Atlantis on the Wii verson. Quote
